not w/ a bang, but w/ a whimper... i always wanted us to go out like the hollywood ending of butch cassidy & the sundance kid: only a few bullets left, the whole argentinian army surrounding you... you go out w/ guns blazing & go down in a blaze of glory. but, like everything we do/did we went off 1/2 cocked. now we're left to history. so history, please be kind.

NICOLE is picking up right where she left off w/ THE SEPARATION PAPERS.
ROBERT will be moving to philly, pa. where he will attend TEMPLE U & be engaging in a myriad of (musical & non-musical) activities.
SEAN BRENDAN has been considering the solo route.
JAMES is looking fer a good death metal band.
LEON has been writing & working on starting a new band

XOXO

10.6.01

we're done, so fuck you.

12.5.01

out w/ the old, in w/ the... old? yes, w/ dave flynn stepping down as bass player, none other than robert joseph antonio francisco has fallen back in w/ our little bands of miscreants...

25.4.01

well, as you could probably guess... we have a sounds page. other than that... i suppose we have nothing new to report XOXO!

16.4.01

happy easter to everyone! that being said...

we had an incredible time @ the record release party, there were streamers & ballons & pinatas & fiesel brought the fieselbot game system... all the bands were awesome... all in all it was all i hoped it to be. thanks again to everyone that made it possible!

NEW PICTURES! nicole & i couldn't wait so we developed some yesterday (a few different people took pictures, so there might be more on the way).

8.4.01

MP3's galore! yeah, i figured it out (w/ a little help from dan danger), so now we have sounds...

for a couple MP3's from the EP, check out the stuff. we also have 2 other songs:

1. machado!
(download here ~>)machado!
(this is off the upcoming split)

2. 50ft. isn't enough
(downlaod here ~>)50ft. isn't enough
(this one dates back to the 4 piece configuration, it's a practice tape recorded by sean on his 4-track).

28.3.01

well, it appears as though machado! & battle hymn will be coming out as a split 7" w/ FIESEL (they are contributing a lot can happen in the middle of nowhere) while untitled #2 will be found on the upcoming aunt judy records comp "the luxurious sound of..." (we also plan to get our asses back into the sudio to record a song, our fisrt w/ our new new bass player, for an upcoming random noise comp).

speaking of bass players, jim shea said his official goodbye to us sunday, meaning the show on friday will be dave's 2nd appearance, & that jim shea's last show w/ us was @ the hawk's nest in hartford. so, here's to you jim shea! godspeed!

19.3.01

over the st. patty's day weekend we managed to record all three songs, we'll be mixing tomorrow night... i guess that's the big news.

16.3.01

(FANFARE PLEASE!) after alomst three years, two drummers, three bass players, a 2nd guitarist & a third singer (not to mention all the people left slackjawed in our wake) the lumbering behemoth known as superagent has not only committed something to magnetic tape, but it can now be obtained by the general public (instead of those unlucky enough to be part of our nefarious inner circle). yes, you heard it here 1st... superagent audio recording! format: CDEP. tracks: 9. for more info see "the stuff".

12.3.01

okay, here's the deal w/ our bass player(s): jim shea is still officially our bass player until he leaves as of april 1st... therefore any shows we play before that we play w/ him (except, of course, if he is apartment shopping in baltimore, whereas it would be difficult to get back for the night. that being the case for dave's 1st show.). dave will be taking over bass duites as of april 1st OFFICIALLY. so basically we have two bass players.

in the midst of all this bass playering we have found time to use up some free studio time we won. we're going to be recording three songs (hopefully) w/ jim shea on bass @ soundwave recording in spfld. w/ a mr. robert l. honablue jr. (rumor has it he did time @ motown...). we're planning on recording machado!, untitled #2 & battle hymn (in that order of importance) for 7" &/or compilation tracks.

NEW LYRICS (the 1st in a loooong while)!
NEW PICS (more coming, as soon as dave gets off his ass & develops them!)!

p.s. the cd's should be in in about 3 days... so in about a week we should have CDEP's ready.

20.2.01

so i think we're out of the woods... it appears as though dave's tenure has become more permanent. i do believe he'll be making his 1st app. march 2nd (as jim shea will be invading baltimore yet again), then taking over bass duties full time as of april 1st. watch out!

13.2.01

we'd like to thank our friend dave flynn for handling bass duties as of april 1st, though his tenure is open-ended, so we're not out of the woods yet...

5.2.01

well, well, well... it appears as though the otherwise steady (sic) agent lineup is being dealt its next blow. as of april 1st, james shea will be leaving both us & new england behind & setting up shop in baltimore, maryland (rumor has it @ the behest of the king of baltimore himself, barry levinson). we are planning to play up until he leaves... but we are again in search of a permanent bass player. you can contact us via this thing or call nic & i @ (413)283.2144. any help would be greatly appreciated, seeing as we have seemingly exhausted our resources.

26.1.01

hiedi ho! well, 1st off it seems as though we are probably not going to be playing w/ a bunch of metal bands in a sketch providence dive, harumph. we're getting dicked around the person who is booking the show, seeing as how he doesn't like to put bands he's never heard on a friday night bill (yeah, the hessians might not like us, ergo, leave before buying enough beer to cover the cost of paying all the other top notch acts). oh well, you win some, yada yada yada...

so we bought ourselves a better domain name (basically so those recollectionally impaired band members could actually view the site), & while paying $15 per year so sean dosn't have to use the portion of his brain he reserves for remebering to clean up jim shea's bongwater spill sounds enticing... i figure i'll pass up the opportuninty & tell EVERYONE! it's:

www.thesuperagent.org

24.1.01

new (old) pics! sean's first show, they used to be on the.old.store site. superagent: patches mark II! see the stuff.

15.1.01

im really starting to hate angelfire. a few days ago i wiped out the superagent archives & had to retype (& reset all the links) everything because i had opened two different angelfire pages (all i wanted to do was to copy & paste the links & avoid all the typing). for some inexplicable reason when you try to open one to edit it... it somehow transfers all the information of one page to the other, unbeknownst to me, of course. anyways, i just erased the contents of this page (although im sure that it was pointless having the old news still posted, it still annoyed me greatly). for some reason, i feel compelled to finish w/ the tour story... so:

13.7.00
so, here we are in florida, the first time i have ever seen a palm tree. when we were in georgia sean commented about how he was disappointed that it didn't look like georgia, it looked like any suburb in any state. & it's true, when you travel you expect to seethings that are chracteristic to what you imagine that place to be like (in this case plantations & cypress trees, things of that nature), & when you don't see that you never really get a feel for that place. when we broke down in pa. we happened to break down in lancaster county, so we saw what was stereotypically thought of pa., but back to florida... it's pretty hard to be here & not think that yes, i am in florida. totally unlike anything i've ever seen... well, no, it's like a larger version of the beach culture we all pass through every summer, you know what i mean. so we're @ billy's house, waiting the short time till we go to the show. (later, after the show)played hard, played sloppy, but played good. after we played tuesday i was so exhausted that i just couldn't play guitar anymore. i threw it off & sat there, catching my breath, thinking we were done, until sean & rob started yelling for kick-stop & i just didn't have it in me to sing & play... so i opted to sing. during the first "chorus" part i did a handstand up onto my amp so my legs were on top of it (billy tried to tie my shoes together, but i was too quick & i kind of figured it would happen), then threw myself off right before the next verse. then i started to slam jim's bass drum in time to the song... until he kicked the thing so i would stop. i guess people thought that i had been hit. everyone else was pretty lukewarm about the show, but i had a pretty good time. sometimes i miss the freedom of just singing, but you know you need that guitar as a shield (& to keep you from doing any stupid LV moves).

fiesel did its share of rocking too. they played right before us, & during resonant frequency jesse mangled a patch cord (the only thing besides the amp i was using that rob could claim as his own). & as a topper, he climbed onto dan's bass drum & toppled onto him in a guesture of manly love seldomly seen these days. dan managed to reopen an old softball wound & bleed all over his low tom [i think it's still there], though bleeding during shows is nothing new to dan. we then went swimming @1 am (& there is nothing like warm ocean water) while a storm was out to sea... there's really nothing to describe that. after cleaning up we went to denny's & left while the sun was dawning. we're now on our way to south carolina.

to be coninued...
