To those of you who still occasionally check on this web page.... bless your little hearts. I'm sure I'm thinking of you too....
Things are good. I dont remember where I left things here. Eric and I are living together... we're very happy. We have a new addition to our family.... yes that's right.... we have a KITTY!!!!!!!!! We just got him a couple days ago. We wanted to go the adoption-from-shelter-be-assured-of-his-heath-and-fixed-status and somehow ende dup with poor-stray-cat-needed-home-or- put-to-sleep-mystery cat. We took HIM to the vet (though all assumptions were that HE was a SHE) the day after we got him. We are the proud owners of a healthy, happy, cuddly, feline luekemia and AIDS free, flea free, parasite free, dental plaque free adorable GIANt kitty who eric jokes could be the leargest land mammal in Northern America. He's about 13 1/2 pounds and when he stretches out his length is ENORMOUS. He's really just a big fluffball who follows us around the house, sleeps in bed with us, and loves his cat toys. We're very happy.

What else? I left my job at Bright Horizons (just a week ago) and am now working as a nanny with a family and their two year old autistic son. I dont know what i was expecting but when they said "mild PDD" it wasnt this. It's going to be very challenging. On top of that I've started taking night courses toward becoming a pediatric medical assistant. Im really excited about getting into the medical field (I get to buy scrubs, a lab, coat and a stethescope! yehaw!) I started classes last night and I'll be done in about a year. I can't wait.
I went to visit Jordan today, a little girl that I used to nanny for a few years ago. she's HUGE. i cant even begin to explain the changes in her and the way that it makes me feel to see them. Time goes by so fast. It really seems like just a few months ago that she was sitting in a high chair and saying "ELMO" Today I realized that her vocabulary, at 3 1/2, is probably only slightly lesser than mine. When she talked about playing with her friends she said "Nolan and I."
sheesh.
