Listen With Your Heart

~*~To Love You More~*~

~ ~Celine Dion~ ~

Take me, back into the arms I love
Need me, like you did before
Touch me once again
And remember when
There was no one that you wanted more
Don 't go, you know you'll
break my heart
She won't, love you like I will
I'm the one who'll stay
When she walks away
And you know I 'll be
standing here still
I 'll be waiting for you
Here inside my heart
I 'm the one who wants
to love you more
You will see I can give you
Everything you need
Let me be the one to
love you more
See me, as if you never knew
Hold me, so you can 't let go
Just believe in me
I will make you see
All the things that your
heart needs to know
I 'll be waiting for you
Here inside my heart
I 'm the one who wants
to love you more
You will see I can give you
Everything you need
Let me be the one to
love you more
And some way, all the love
that we had can be saved
Whatever it takes, we'll
find a way
Believe in me
I will make you see
All the things that your
heart needs to know
I'll waiting for you
Here inside my heart
I'm the one who wants to
love you more
You don't have to close
your eyes..
You will see I can give you
Everything you need
Let me be the one to
love you more.

~ * ~Love's Risk~ * ~

~ ~Author Unknown~ ~

There is a risk involved in
everything. Every time you
share a smile, every time you
shed a tear, you are opening
yourself up to hurt.

Some people tread slowly through
life, avoiding the closeness risk
brings, side-stepping the things
they can't understand, turning
away from those who care too much,
Those who care too long,
Those who hold too tightly.

There is never an easy way to love.
You can not approach it cautiously.
It will not wait for you to arm
yourself. It does not care if
you turn away, it is everywhere,
it is everything.

Love is the greatest of all risks.
It is not reliable, it is not
cautious, it is not sympathetic,
It is unprejudiced and unmerciless.
It strikes the strongest of mind,
And brings them to their knees
in one blow.

Even in the best of times, love hurts.
It hurts to need, it hurts to
belong, it hurts to be the other
part of someone else, without
either of your consent. But,
from the moment it overtakes you,
It hurts worse to be all alone.

The risk of love never depletes;
It grows stronger and more
dangerous with time. But,
it's in the total surrender of
all defense, that we, no matter
weak or strong, no matter willing
or captive, no matter what, we
truly experience love.

Despite the many things love is not,
Outweighing it all are the things
that love is. Love is surrender
without a loss. It is a gift
without the cost. It consumes
your every thought & desire,
Every breath you take.
It is the fire that fuels you
To do more than pass through life;
It urges you, instead, to live.

No matter the outcome, having felt
Love, you will never be the same.
It may scar your heart & soul
And Leave you only memories of
forever. Or, it may cause every
day of your life to feel like
there is no need for tomorrow.
But, love is worth it. It is
worth the risk...For in all of life,
Love is truly the only risk
worth taking.

~ * ~My Name~ * ~

~ ~unknown~ ~

My name ís not ímportant
ít's my heart that really counts.
It's †he feelings deep ínside me
and the love I pass around.
It's the reaching out to others
even when they don't reach back.
Knowing that I love them
even when they can't love back.

~ * ~Little Things In Life~ * ~

Too often we don't realize
what we have until it is gone;
Too often we wait too late to say
"I'm sorry -- I was wrong."

Sometimes it seems we hurt the
ones we hold dearest to our
hearts; and we allow foolish
things to tear our lives apart.

Far too many times we let
unimportant things into our minds;
And then it's usually too late
to see what made us blind.

So be sure that you let people know
how much they mean to you;
Take that time to say the words
before your time is through.

Be sure that you appreciate
everything you've got
And be thankful for the Little
Things in Life that mean a lot.

Listen to Your Heart

We all want to make things
better in our lives, but
but lots of times we just don't
know where or when to begin.

Sometimes we are troubled about
Something deep inside,
And we are afraid of dealing
with our problems because
We've been hurt before, and
we remember what hurt can bring.

Making things better involves changing
But change isn't such a bad thing.

Life isn't always easy
No one ever promised it would be.
But it can be wonderful at times,
And it's up to us to make those
times happen.

Where? Beginning within.
When? With the dawn of each new day.
How? Listen to your heart....
It will really show you the way.

Our hearts can be very fragile
yet, it can give us the strongest
feelings we can possibly feel.

Our hearts don't heal as
fast as we want it to heal
but once you open your heart again
each wound will seal away.

Listen to your heart
with that sixth sense we all posses
When you do, it might take you
to places you once dream of

When you do, it might lead you
to that someone so very special

Listen to your heart
for it speaks in volumes,for
it speaks the language of
love.

~ * ~Take the Time~ * ~

~ ~Author Unknown~ ~

A very special teacher in
high school many years ago
had a husband who unexpectedly
died suddenly of a heart attack.
About a week after his death, she
shared some of her insight with a
classroom of students. As the late
afternoon sunlight came streaming
in through the classroom windows
and the class was nearly over, she
moved a few things aside on the edge
of her desk and sat down there.

With a gentle look of reflection
on her face, she paused and said,
"Before class is over, I would
like to share with all of you a
thought that is unrelated to class,
but which I feel is very important.
Each of us is put here on earth to
learn, share, love,
appreciate
and give of ourselves... and none
of us knows when this fantastic
experience will end. It can be
taken away at any moment.
Perhaps this is God's way of telling
us that we must make the most out
of every single day."

Her eyes beginning to water, she
went on, "So I would like you all
to make me a promise...
from now on, on your way to school,
or on your way home, find something
beautiful to notice. It doesn't have
to be something you see - it could
be a scent - perhaps of freshly baked
bread wafting out of someone's house,
or it could be the sound of the breeze
slightly rustling the leaves in the
trees, or the way the morning light
catches one autumn leaf as it falls
gently to the ground. Please, look
for these things, and cherish them.

For, although it may sound trite to
some, these things are the "stuff"
of life. The little things we are
put here on earth to enjoy. The
things we often take for granted.
We must make it important to notice
them, for at any time ... it can all
be taken away."

The class was completely quiet. We
all picked up our books and filed
out of the room silently. That
afternoon, I noticed more things
on my way home from school than I
had that whole semester. Every once
in a while, I think of that teacher
and remember what an impression she
made on all of us, and I try to
appreciate all of those things
that sometimes we all overlook.

Take notice of something special
you see on your lunch hour today.
Go barefoot. Or walk on the beach
at sunset. Stop off on the way
home tonight to get a double dip
ice cream cone. For as we get older,
it is not the things we did that we
often regret, but the things we didn't do.

Life is a Journey

Life is a journey
through many terrains,
From gardens of pleasure
to deserts of pain
From an ocean of love to
a jungle of hate
From mountains of glory
to canyons of fate.

There's a highway for joy
and a highway for sorrow.
A road for today and
a road for tomorrow.
So choose your path wisely
and walk it with care.
If you follow your heart,
you'll find your way there.

I've been to the garden
and planted seeds there.
I've been to the desert
and felt the despair.
I've swum in the ocean
and drunk of it's wine.
I've ran through the jungle
and hung from a vine.

I climbed up the mountain
to touch the sky.
I went to the canyon
and started to cry.
I've travelled both highways,
both today and tomorrow.
I've basked in the joy
and wallowed in sorrow.

My Path has been chosen
and I've walked it with care.
I followed my heart and
I'm on my way there.
So I'll just keep walking
till I find what I'm after.
To mountains and oceans,
and gardens of laughter.

Can I Trust You
With My Heart?
(author Gail Bowen..copyright1999,
www.wgbowen.com)

A question often thought of
But answered yet by few.
When people meet each other
the way that I met you.
The words upon the screen
are seen only by a few
but they bring a smile unto me
because they come from you.
An endless trail of memories
that cross from time to time,
the reality of all this
sometimes confusing in my mind.
Expressions of love and gratitude,
tears and laughter shared
simple little things that
show how much you care.
When its fashioned out of
sweetness and tender sympathy,
I often wonder is it what
true love can be.
I find myself renewed in strength
because you have opened up the way
simply by saying the sweet
things that you say.
I close my eyes and feel your cares
and my worries seem to part.
But laying all of this aside
a question does impart
for love is not a simple thing so..
Can I trust you with my heart?

Things I've Learned

~ ~Elizabeth Tocarciuc,~ ~ RN

I've learned...
You cannot make someone love you.
All you can do is be someone
who can be loved.
The rest is up to them.

I've learned...
that no matter how much you care,
some people just don't care back.

I've learned...
that it takes years to build up
trust, and only seconds to
destroy it.

I've learned...
that it's not what you have in
life but who you have in your
life that counts.

I've learned...
that you can get by on charm
for about fifteen minutes...
After that, you better know
something.

I've learned...
that you shouldn't compare
yourself to the best others
can do.

I've learned...
that you can do something in
an instant that can give you
heartache for life.

I've learned...
that it's taking me a long
time to become the person
I want to be.

I've learned...
that you should always leave
loved ones with loving words,
it may be the last time you
see them.

I've learned...
that you can keep going
long after you thought
you couldn't.

I've learned...
that we are responsible for
what we do, no matter
how we feel.

I've learned...
that either you control your
attitude or it controls you.

I've learned...
that regardless of how hot and
steamy a relationship is at
first, the passion fades and
there had better be something
else to take its place.

I've learned...
that heroes are the people
who do what has to be done
when it needs to be done,
regardless of the consequences.

I've learned...
that money is lousy way
of keeping score.

I've learned...
that my best friend and
I can do anything or nothing
and have the best time.

I've learned...
that sometimes people you
expect to kick you when you
are down will be the ones to
help you get back up.

I've learned...
that sometimes when I'm angry
I have the right to be angry,
but that does not give me
the right to be cruel.

I've learned...
that true friendship continues
to grow, even over the longest
distance. Same goes for love.

I've learned...
that just because someone
doesn't love you the way you
want them to doesn't mean they
don't love you with all they have.

I've learned...
that maturity has more to do
with what types of experiences
you've had and what you've
learned from them and less to
do with how many birthdays you
have celebrated.

I've learned...
that you should never tell a
child their dreams are unlikely
or outlandish, few things are
more humiliating, and what a
tragedy it would be if they
believed it.

I've learned...
that no matter how good a
friend is, they are going
to hurt you every once in
a while and you must forgive
them for that.

I've learned...
that it isn't always enough
to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes you have to learn
to forgive yourself.

I've learned...
that no matter how bad your
heart is broken the world
doesn't stop for your grief.

I've learned...
that our background and
circumstances may have
influenced who we are,
but we are responsible for
who we have become.

I've learned...
that just because two people
argue,it doesn't mean that they
don't love each other,
And just because they don't
argue, doesn't mean they do.

I've learned...
that we don't have to change
friends, if we understand that
friends change.

I've learned...
that you shouldn't be so eager
to find out a secret. It could
change your life forever.

I've learned...
that two people can look at
exactly the same thing, and see
something totally different.

I've learned...
that not matter how you try to
protect your children, they will
eventually get hurt. And you
will hurt in the process.

I've learned...
that even when you think you
have no more to give, when a
friend cries out to you, you
will find the strength to help.

I've learned...
that credentials on the wall
do not make you a decent
human being.

I've learned...
that the people you care about
most in life are taken from
you too soon.

I've learned...
that it's hard to determine
where to draw the line between
being nice and not hurting
people's feelings, when
standing up for what you believe in.

I've learned that people who know
absolutely nothing about you,
can change your life in an instant.

I've learned that your family can
let you down, and sometimes...
others can become your family,
teaching you it's "ok" to love again.

Take The Time

~ ~ Cyndi~ ~

Take the time to reflect,
on what you really have.
Material possessions may
hold sentimental value,
but nothing can compare to
what is felt or heard with
the heart.

Take the time to open your heart.
Sometimes, it's those who are
the closest to us, who we really
don't see. We don't take the
time to see with our hearts,
what they have to offer us, in
return for what we have to give.
Take the time to see what your
actions, thoughts and feelings do
to others.

Take the time to listen with your
heart. So often we dont do that
to the ones who love us the most.
Very often, their words, thoughts,
feelings and actions are taken for
granted. It's when we don't listen
with our hearts, that we, very
often end up hurting or destroying
what was once felt for us.

Taking the time to reflect on what
we have emotionally, instead of
pushing those feelings aside or
ignoring them, opening your heart
to those closest to us and really,
listening, seeing, feeling and
understanding someone elses words,
thoughts, actions or emotions could
not only mak you feel better,
more loved, understood, and heard,
but it could prevent the one who
loves you most from having a broken,
unmendable heart. Take the time,
and you'll be surprised at
not only what you feel, but what
you'll get in return just for
listening with your heart.

Secrets, lies, deceits, and half-
truths, will not only destroy you,
but will also destroy those you
love around you. Those are saved
for liars, cheaters and spies. Be
honest, open, truthful, and don't
hide what you feel or think. It
very well could be the one thing
that will not only destroy someone
else, but will definitely destroy
you as a human being, and what
others think of you. Others
will think differently of you, and
you will be the one who will be
responsible for your loneliness,
and pain. How you treat others
reflects on how you feel about
yourself. If you want others to
think highly of you, and love you
for who and what you really
are, pay attention to how you treat
others, and your positive actions
and reactions, will come back to you
many times over.

Even in the stillness
there is beauty and life,
Even in the solitude there
is happiness and love.
What you see, what you feel...
matters.
Who you are, what you will become...
is up to you.
You are the master of your universe.
Until there is kaos,
you don't appreciate quiet.
Until there are crowds, you
don't appreciate being alone.
Now is the time to reflect
and realize what you have.
Others envy you....no matter
what your lot in life,
if it is what they lack and wish for.
You are unique.
Take time now....discover yourself,
it's never too late.
You always have something
to contribute.
If you are lonely, be a friend....
be a smile.
For the hectic, find a slice of
solitude....no matter how small.
Life is not always as it appears,
you have the power....
to alter yours....
and make a difference.
You are rare and unmatched....
there is only one YOU.

I would like to thank two
very special friends who have
shown me how to listen with my
heart. They have taught me,
in order to really hear what
someone is saying, you need to
open your heart and really hear
what's being said to you.
Through the lessons of these
two people I have done just
that, and I can tell you that
I am so much richer for what
I've learned. I can hear their
emotions in their words, I can
actually feel, in my heart,
what they feel. What a
glorious and wonderfully warm
feeling. I will never be able
to repay them for what they've
taught me through their actions
and words. My heart has grown
I'm now able to hear, I mean
really hear, what is said to me.
Thank you both for all you've
taught me. I can only pray that
others will start to listen
with their hearts to really
understand what they hear. You'll
both, always and forever hold a
very special place in my heart!
