The Story of Ce-Ce

Before there were many...there was one...and she lit the way

Though the story of Ce-Ce & Friends is a wonderful one, its roots are in tragedy...a tragedy that has been used to create a guiding light for homeless cats and for the people who care about them.

Ce-Ce was the first cat who died in our care. She came to us quite ill and touched our hearts through her valiant struggle with her illness. The care and attention of our staff and veterinarians gave Ce-Ce comfort and security throughout her final days. Despite our efforts, in the end she just didn't have the strength left within herself to go on. That is why we have named our shelter in her memory.

Our ultimate goal is to be able to place each and every cat into a loving environment. The fact that we were unable to save Ce-Ce from her untimely death drives us and gives us the strength and courage to continue on with what we started.

Because of this, we know that Ce-Ce will not have died in vain.
