Major League Wiffleball (MLW), originally, was a close association of family and friends during the 1980's in Norwood, Massachusetts. We enjoyed playing wiffleball all the time. Anywhere. Everywhere. There were several stadiums, the most famous of which "MaGecka Stadium" was located in our back yard. Everyone came to our house to play wiffleball. A good deal of credit goes to my parents, Duncan and Maureen, for allowing the neighborhood kids to tear up their lawn and bang bats and balls off the garage and house. We limited the games to three innings so we could get more games in. We never really kept track of any stats except for home runs and this was not done efficiently. We tended to exagerate home runs and how many strikeouts we had. We believed that trash talk was a big part of wiffleball. The intimidation factor. Everyone did this. It would always help. It would make you laugh. It would make you mad. It was the best fun. During the Mid 80's MLW's first publication hit the presses. A small informative newspaper, "Wiffileball Weekly", was soon a big hit among the those who played Wiffleball. Our motto has always been: "Wiffleball action is all action and nothing but action." Major League Wiffleball is committed to furthering wiffleball play by ANY means possible!
