I have just been through an incredible trauma.

I had gone to the grocery store and was taking my carriage of groceries back to my car when a girl in a sports car started backing up, paying no attention to the fact that I was there. I hollered "watch it", and she screamed "I didn't f--ing see you" and I said, "well just watch where you're going." (I had kept walking to my car through all of this.)

She then threw her car into neutral and jumped out and started screaming "let's go at it now!! You want to go at it?"

I told her to calm down and get control. She then came at me, crossing through a row of parked cars to get to me, and started screaming in my face, and I again told her to calm down.

She then started screaming at me that I was a bitch and she was going to "take me out". I turned to my car to unlock the door, told her to calm down and go away.

She then grabbed my glasses off my face and started taking off. I grabbed her by the back of her hair to get my glasses back and she started punching me. She flung my glasses under a parked car and went totally out of control. She landed three or four blows around my left temple.

I now have a huge bruise on the side of my face, and scratches down my cheek and nose that were caused when she grabbed my glasses from my face.(She was wearing a ring and it scratched me up pretty bad.

A couple of bystanders stopped her, and called the police. They had seen her come after me. While waiting for the police she kept screaming and hollering about how I had grabbed her hair so it was self-defense, totally ignoring the fact that she had grabbed the glasses off my face . She insisted that this wasn’t assault and that my grabbing her hair meant that anything she did was "self-defense". The woman who witnessed all this kept trying to tell her that she was at fault and out of control, and this girl kept screaming that she was a college student with a double major and didn’t have anger issues. If she did how could she have gotten into college?

I stepped away form all of that and sat on my car waiting for the police to arrive.

When they got there the first words out of her mouth were "Well I’m a 21 year old student so I know you won’t listen to me". The cop wasn’t happy and said he could be objective and she seemed to have anger issues.

The police say all I can do is file charges against her and take it to court, but I'm not sure I want to go through all that hassle and publicity. But this girl needs serious anger management.

I am really really shaken up here. What is the world coming to?
