The smell of fresh mown hay,

The singing birds, the buzzing bees,

The gentle waving of the wheat...

Makes our evening walks so wonderful,

And makes togetherness...

So satisfyingly complete.

The light of day now all but gone,

The moon high in the sky,

As you gaze into the heavens,

I see the stars twinkling in your eyes.

I can't help but wonder how this all came to be,

The beauty I see in nature, and God's work of art...

A quiet night resting alone in my bed..

Still quite awake..

Watching the clock instead.

Thoughts of you silently cross my mind..

Angel like, robes flowing, so very refined.

A kaleidoscope of rainbows,

in back of you glow...

Like a prism of color, but I still want to know.

the room still looks dark,

No light shining through..

But my mind sees such beauty...

When I think of the inspiration....

Pulling me up from the depths of my sorrow..

Walking along the beach somewhere,

Wind blowing in my face,

Warm rays of the sun carress me,

There can be no more peaceful place.

I sit in the sand, after a while,

Reflecting...what could I do?

Trying to erase all of the thoughts,

Was I guilty of not loving you?

I gave all that I had, tried my best,

There wasn't anymore to give.

When you walked out that door,

I had no reason,

Why should I want to live?

Then a soft sweet voice came through to me,

As if by some magical potion.

Get on with your life, the voice told me,

And suddenly, I was filled with emotion.
