FULL MOON RITE
Spells:
Creasants, white flowers, silver and other lunar symbols on the altar are appropriate.
Use the cauldron (or a small white or silver bowl)filled with water. Place a piece of silver into the water.
Arrange the altar, light the candles and censer, and cast the circle.
Stand before the altar and invoke the Goddess and God, with any invocation you prefer.
Say these or similar words:
Wondrous Lady of the Moon
You who greets the dusk with silvered kisses,
Mistress of the night and of all magic,
Who rides the clouds in blackened skies
And spills light upon the cold Earth;
O Lunar Goddess,
Crescented-One,
Shadow maker and shadow breaker;
Revealer of mysteries past and present;
Puller of seas and ruler of women;
All-wise Lunar Mother,
I greet your celestial jewel
At the waxing of its powers
with a rite in your honor.
I pray by the Moon,
I pray by the Moon,
I pray by the Moon.
Now it's time for magic of all types. Lunar liquids such as lemonade, milk or white wine
can be consumed during the Simple Feast that follows. Crescent cakes are traditional as
well. Thank the Goddess and God and release the circle.
This is a full moon ritual that we did one year at a time when it seemed we had a lot of trauma in our
lives recently. This is a full ritual with quarter calls and invocations. I'll also include the obstacle remover
spell and the protection spell we performed.
Raise energy by chanting:
Isis, Astarte, Diana.... Hecate, Demeter, Kali, Inanna
When enough energy is raised take salt and form circle.
When circle is cast, say:
Here is the boundary of the circle. Naught but love shall enter in. Naught but love shall emerge from within. Charge this by your powers, Old Ones!
Call the quarters:
N: O Spirit of the North, Ancient One of Earth. I call you to attend this circle. Charge this by your power, Old one, Wodin!
E: O Spirit of the East, Ancient One of Air. I call you to attend this circle. Charge th is by your power, Old ONe, Eros!
S: O Spirit of the South, Ancient One of Fire. I call you to attend this circle. Charge thiis by your power, Old One, Furia!
W: O Spirit of the West, Ancient One of Water. I call you to attend this circle. Charge this by your power, Old One, Aquaas!
Invoke the Goddess:
In this night and in this hour
I call upon the Moon's great power
Great Goddess of the Moon
Queen of Every Realm
Lady of infinite destiny
Protectress of Mother of Witches
I call upon your wisdom
To pierce through the night
Cast upon me thy loving gaze
The enchantment has begun
From the heavens, power will come.
Obstacle Remover Spell:
Write obstacles inside eggshells with black ink. When finished stomp and destroy eggshell while visualizing your obstacles being removed.
Protection Spell:
Bless white candles and chant this 9 times.
Give me loving peace and protect me from harm.
Aid me in this spell while I recite this charm.
Cover me with love from the Goddess above.
Herne, grant me protection, peace, and love.
Return all the ruin addressed to me.
As my will, So Mote It Be!!!
Prayer of Thanks:
O Goddess within, O God within. O Goddess of the Moon, Waters, and Earth. O God of the Forests and Mountains. I give thankss for your presence on this sacred night.
Dismiss the quarters:
N: Farewell Spirits of the North. I give thanks for your presence. Go in power!
Do the same with the rest of the quarters.
Close the circle.
