Okay, maybe you're a little bit confused by the term "muttonchops". Muttonchops first appeared in 1865 and are defined as "side whiskers that are narrow at the temple and broad and round by the lower jaws" by Webster's online dictionary. Muttonchops are basically just very very large sideburns that our favorite touring guitarist likes to sport :) And of course Davey has the best out of anyone.
