Part 1 WARNING! the town has suceeded to getting a spy onto my facebook. Because that can both be a blessing and a curse, it goes to show how active the town is in keeping an eye on me. There will be some outrageous posting by me with a thought to having it intercepted and reported, so watch for deceptions.
...
former tolcom is closed.
A second forest and brush fire in two years hit the north field on April 18, 2009..(or so)....... Someone in the field called the fire department, who being in a foul mood anyway complained that some kid made fun of them arriving after the fire was out, and went wild against us. They went immediately to the town attorney who order us closed for being a fire hazard and the use of illegal smoke bombs. "Sopranos" type fees and new regulations followed making it impossible to do business.
An underlying factor is the adverse take over of tolcom and its web site by the "chief of staff" and assisting staff members. Thus an interesting "spin" was proffered citing the closing was " conflict between Joe and the town and that Joe did not have the proper permits"...(not true)
The Trust, which owns the land and The Wicket Grounds, Inc, Joes personal company which rented the trust property for these events, felt that the comanders in the field, namely Crossfire and the major, should have been more in control over the little bastards who set the woods on fire, again. With this fire, the town now has the upper hand and has been given an active forum against us. Why would they do that? To show who is boss in a small community where the chief is new and the family is old.
Attempts by us to have a fall event to help pay bills was brushed off.
The trust will start over if new rules and regulations are installed and anew "members only" format is used.
But considering that Joe got virtually NO emails of condolences, while everyone else was flooded it does not seem likely that such an organizational plan would survive the expected assault against it. We shall see.
In summation, the new trust attorney saw a number of civil rights flaws in the way the town handled the matter. However he has advised that a suitable and formal plan of operation has to again be brought before the boards for their action. Thus leaving it in their hands to proceed in a law full manner. If and when a formal plan is rejected upon appeal, then legal action can be taken.
