The Joshua house is a home located on Catherine Street in Worcester, Massachusetts and ministers to battered women, expectant mothers, and and troubled teen girls.

The goal of the house is three fold:

A Brief History

Since the early 1980's, God has given Pastor Dennis Holland a vision to have a home for the needy in his home town of Worcester, MA.

For almost 15 years God impressed on Rev. Holland this need.  During this time the Holland's were involved in a variety of ministries though local churches serving the needy of the area.

In 1998, God allowed the home at 25 Catherine Street to come available. Originally, a Louis Pasteur hospital and more recently a retirement home, the house was perfectly suited as a home for the needy.

The ministry's original purpose was to rehabilitate people with addictions, nevertheless 1998 saw only a handful of residents in the house for the entire year.

Friends of the ministry felt that God was leading in a different direction. There was a pressing need to serve homeless women in the central Massachusetts area.

In mid-1999 the ministry changed focus and began its present emphasis on women in need. Since then the home has been filled to capacity with over 13 residents at anyone time with several residents receiving Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

Currently, repairs are being made to the third floor that will enable 6-8 more residents giving the Joshua House a total capacity of over 20 souls.

May God Be Praised!!!
