Comment: Alfa and omega of the Croatian National Team and its captain. Good shooter. He played in Dinamo Zagreb from 85 to 91, FC Bari in 91/92 and achieved his culmination in FC Milan Won a lot of national and international trophys, such as Champions Cup in 1994. He was leading scorer as Yugoslavia won 87 Under-21 World Championship in Chile. Match between Dinamo Zagreb and Red Star Belgrade on May 13, 1990 degenerated into full scale riots and fights between the fans. Boban defended his supporters and hit a policeman. Punished by the Yugoslav Football Federation he became a national hero in Croatia.
