I haven't updated this website in so long, and it is with great sadness that I must do it at this time. However, one of the Creeggan brothers seems to have said everything better than I ever could on the Brothers Creeggan website, so I will just quote him: July 13th, 2009 Sad news: this morning at 2AM, Ian McLauchlan passed away due to complications following heart surgery in Toronto. Our love and thoughts go out to his loved ones. We will be sure to post any information regarding a memorial but CBC radio 2 will mention him and play Grey (from Sleepyhead) at 8:54 (Eastern). Ian drummed with us during our most active period to date (1998-2004) and played on both Trunks and Sleepyhead. He was a fiercely individual, creative and experimental person. He maintained an innocence and a lovely laugh despite grappeling with some of life and society's most dark features. He loved to play (especially climbing trees and tag). We learned a tonne from him and we will miss him. ****************************************** The Man Behind the Drum Kit
Welcome to Ian McLauchlan.com! Ian is currently the drummer for the Brothers Creeggan, but he has also been involved in many other musical projects in his life. So for anyone that is curious about that guy sitting behind the drums during the Brothers Creeggan shows, and wonders how he got there without being a Creeggan, this is the place for you.
Sit back and relax, enjoy a cup of coffee, and browse around.
