Hi, my name is Kira. I am 18 years old and in my senior year of high school. I have been riding horses since I was 3 or 4 years old, and received my first horse, Sur Faron, when I was 11. I started off riding western, but quickly moved onto huntseat when I was about 6 or so. Though I rode saddleseat alittle with friends over the years off and on, I really didn't do much with it until 1999, and I've completely fallen in love with it! My trainer Sue Allen, and her niece Kristie ride saddleseat, and they gave me saddleseat lessons. Sue let me show her Arabian Mare, Lori Napinajib, at the Barre Fair, Cheshire Fair, and Lancaster Fair this year. After starting taking lessons in saddleseat, i've decided if my new colt, Just Me Being Me, has the head set (which he seems to have at this point), the motor, and motion, I will DEF. have him go saddleseat! When I graduate high school, I would like to go to college to do something with horses!
