Wu Tang Clan

In all of hip-hop’s history there’s never been a rap aggregation like the Wu-Tang Clan.
However, it didn’t happen overnight. On the real, each member had his own sad street struggle story before the group blew up.
Life on the cold concrete of "Gaten Island" was, and still is, haunted by crime, drugs, violence, hustling and poor people striving to survive.
Living under such life devaluing conditions had most of the bad-ass brothers we now know as the Wu-Tang Clan, caught up in the thick of it. How else could the stark street images they rap about come off so genuine, so vivid, so cold, so Wu-Tang?

It all began a few years ago in New York City. Almost all the members are from around Staten Island, except Ol' Dirty Bastard, he's from Brooklyn. Originally, the clan was formed by 3 members: Prince Rakeem (RZA), The Genius (GZA) and Ol' Dirty Bastard. The first album of RZA (I love you Rakeem) flopped and the album from GZA: Words From The Genius was also a bad move. They decided to recrute some of their friends and finally the clan contained nine members. They were all friends, hanging out together, who started rapping about their lives. The succes came quickly. The debut album of The Wu-Tang-Clan in 1993 was a break through. It was produced by Loud/RCA Records and was called: ENTER THE WU-TANG The rap industry would never be the same again after this breakthrough. The album was THA BOMB and people all over the world bought it, The Clan has made an entrance, a BIG entrance. In the next few years, the Wu-Tang-Clan produced a lot of singels and albums and got more famous all over the world. One more members was added: Cappadonna so the Clan became 10. A lot of people see Cappadonna as a fake member, he joined when the Clan was famous and did not help it to become BIG. But they don't know that cappa and the wu members go way back.....
