~Every MTs Wish~
Having been in the medical field for a few
more years than I care to admit, I think I have a pretty good feel for
what most medical transcriptionists look for when they are seeking the
"company of their dreams". Whether it be a national company with
hundreds of employees or a simple private practice with one doc or more,
medical transcriptionists look for certain characteristics when seeking
out employment. Here's my list of every MTs Wish.
~To work for a place that appreciates my
skills.
~To be considered a part of the "staff"
even though I work from home.
~To be valued not only by the company that
employs me, but also by the accounts I work on.
~To occasionally get a day "off".
~To have performance evaluations and raises
when they are due, not making me practically beg for one.
~To be rewarded for working "overtime" when
the accounts are out of compliance.
~To be told the rules of the company and
that they are for everyone, not just a certain few MTs.
~To be encouraged to work my "Dream Schedule"
~For SOMEONE to give a newbie a chance.
