SKINHEADS
Well for those of you who have read little to none on skinheads i hope this page will help you and for those of you who are skinheads or read about them i hope i dont piss ya off and that my page is good if not yell at me.
Real Skinheads are not racist. People who are racist and call themselves a skinhead are not really skinhead.So called racist skinheads are called Boneheads by other skinheads. Being a skinhead has nothing to do with what kind of music you listen to. I mean yeah a lot of skinheads listen to Punk, Oi!, Ska, Rocksteady and all that stuff. Most skins listen to it but not all. There are Skinheads out there listening to Country, Classical, and Rap. Doing that does not make you any less of a skinhead it is just personal taste. Nor does not wearing the traditinol dress within reason. I personally think that if you dont dress it you are just a wanna be. but People dress how they feel comfortable. You can do that but be reasonable. To be a skinhead you shouldent go around in baggy pants and such you look like a tool and are liable to get your ass beat. It also makes you look like a slob. The way you dress tells about you you should dress cleanly. Dress is a way to identify many skins but not all. Most skinheads wear jeans that are not baggy or dirty and stained. Skinheads also wear boots taht are nicely polished they are usally red or black (those are traditinaol colors). The boots usually have abouit 10 holes but Boneheads usually wear really tall boots. In additiaon to that a skinheads wear braces. Braces are really thin suspenders usally 1/4 to 1/2 inch they can be any color. the shirts usually worn are Fred Perry and Ben Sherman they make nice polo shirts. other shirts worn are button down A-shirts (thin tight tank tops). Also every person you see dressed like that may not be a skinhead. One thing that is pretty universal is short hair. Not always completly shaved but usally short. There are so called skinheads that if asked what being a skinhead meant to them couldent tell you. Just becasue you have the look dosent make you a skinhead. "So you think you're a Skinhead cause you read a book but all it taught you was about the look" i think this is an appropriate qoute becasue you see those people at school or at concerts, People dresses like a skin but not knowing what a skinhead really is. Being a skinhead is about feeling people have in them about not taking shit from other people, being true to your friends, your family, your country, and living your life to the fullest have the best damn time. That means being the first to break out and dance starting that pit and keeping it going. Going to the partys and keeping the action going. Its about defending your friends to the end even if they may be wrong , but defendiong them becasue they are your friends and would do the same for you. And if some guy fucks with you, you take action you dont just sit back and be like oh well. You can ask some skinheads what it means to them to be a skinhead and they may say pride. Pride in the fact that they are living the good life. pride in their family who raised them. Pride in your friends that have fought along side you and will to the end. And pride in your country, one that you would fight for. There are many different types of skinheads. Some good some bad. For example there are SHARPS, I consider my self a SHARP. SHARPS are Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice. this means that you are for unity and against bigotry, racism, anti-semitism, homophobia, or any other form of hate. Anthor group is RASH these are Red Anarchist Skinheads these people are far left wing Skinheads they use many of them follow Marxistic views like the whole before the person. They are usually very violent and often get into fights with the racist skinheads. Trad. Skins are just skinheads plain and simple. They are the skinheads that wear the orignal dress and listenb to the music and try to be like the original skins. Trad. skins dont have a specific set of views. The final type of "Skinheads" are Boneheads. Boneheads are right wing and racist. These are not technically skinheads becasue skinheads are not racist. These skinheads are hated by all other skins.In addition to these main types there are a few minor ones but arent as prominate as these.
