No one will ever be free while others are oppressed
Well as you know this is stuff that pisses me off about our great govermnent that we have here. now if you read this and dont agree dont send me shit that says i should move to mexico or anything, its that i just i dont refuse to see the injustice of this world.
1.) The land of the free and the home of the brave where anybody can grow up and be president one day if your a white male, christian, wealthy, good looking, have a good looking wife. Our so called democartic system where anybody can become president has failed, not only do they discriminate in the system but they elect a complete fuck up. I as a legal adult do vote because you cant bitch if you dont vote but what i dont understand is that no matter who wins the popular votes, the votes every citzen casts, they still may not get elected because the electoral college may want someone else, basically we are casting votes so other people who we think will vote for our person will vote that way but its always a guess. i think that the president should win by popular vote and screw the electoral college.
2.) Being a punk i would say i look different but does that put a sign on my back "HEY PULL ME OVER" well i guess it does. The police in the towns around my watch me like chicken hawks i cant scratch my ass without being a scene. Just becasue i doint fit into the normal catogory on how i dress and act dosent mean im a bad kid, but i always get harassed. i dont do drugs, i dont sell drugs, i dont vandalize property, and i dont steal. Police harass me becasue of my looks, but i have it easy. Im not black or hispanic. I myself have never fallen to police brutality but there are thousand of blacks persecuted for there skin color. That is completly stupid. They cant change it, just like i cant change that im white but it dosent make you better then them becasue of skin color. There are thousands of cases of police brutality in this country ever year some worse then others. One that will always stick in my mind is the case of brutality against an old lady. An old lady was walking down the road putting quarters in expired parking meters, and for this she was brutally arrested and in the process recived several bruises and scrapes. Now any cop that would do that to an old lady does not desrve to be a cop. Many comuitys are starting cop watch programs, which are people who will watch the police and video tape them. These people also tell citizens there rights.
3.) Another thing that bothers me is capatalistic companys. this is not directly the governments fault but they should do something about it. Many compnays move factories to third world countries to exploit their poor citezens. an example is Nike. they move to a third world countrie and exploite their children so they can make the shoes cheaper but still sell them at high prices and reap more prophets. not only does this exploit other countries workers but it hurts our economy. they pay these people like 50 cents a day and charge us 50$ for the shoes. this is why i dont buy their crap. In countries like vietnam the workers are only paid 13 cents an hour that is barely a dollar a day, in their money. Their ideals keep the rich richer and put honest american workers poor and in the streets. While at the same time it exploist others. Now the government should make a law that says any U.S. based company should give its workers the same rights as american workers and comparible wages so instead of paying them 50 cents their money pay them 4 dollars our money. And they should be able to work under the same conditions or at least better conditions this would give third world countries more money and many factories would move back to the U.S. so that they could have more skilled workers and didnt have to pay for shipping. so in all that would raise us more money and would be better from the countries economy.
