I heard a couple of wavs of their songs such as the cheerful melodic rocker "What's it gonna be" and the great AOR ballad "Hard to walk away". This is a very interesting band and hopefully a review of their debut CD very soon. If the rest of their material is as good as those two songs, then an interview will probably follow. |

| AL TAVERS comes out of Dighton, Massachusetts, USA. Al has sing the lead vocals for many bands in the past. Bands such as CRUIZER, NIGHTWING, AZIMUTH, MODERN ART BAND, ENFORCER, VICIOUS CIRCLE, DNA, RULES, THE RAF, EXTEND, RIFF RAFF... Most of these bands are very little known, so it would be cool if I could do some kind of biography on Al featuring his musical career from the start until now. The reason why I want to do this is that most of those bands Al played in are Melodic Rock/AOR bands. Some are even Pomp rock oriented. I believe I saw that one of his band did a cover of a SHOOTING STAR song. Anywa, hopefully I can hear and review all the recordings Al did in the past soon, and then do a full story on this guy. |

Though this STRATUS is also very interesting, because on their CD 'Holdin' on to you' they play pure 80s AOR a la JOURNEY and REO SPEEDWAGON as I read on listen.com I don't know if it is really true, but if I get a chance to hear their CD, a review will follow surely. |

| A band out of California. They have had VELOCITY leader DAVID VICTOR in their line-up for sometime, so that's already an interesting piece of history for ST. LAURENT. The influences range from DEF LEPPARD, BON JOVI, VAN HALEN to even BILLY JOEL. An interesting band this ST/ LAURENT and hopefully I can hear and review their two albums they have done so far. |
| LENI DIMANCARI |
| This is very interesting
indeed. This guy is a real workaholic who did so many
things in the past. LENI DIMANCARI comes out of Elk
River, Minnesota, USA and he is working on his 9th (!) CD
right now. I don't think many people will now this
talented vocalist/guitarist, but he has actually done
even more in the past. He once was in the Atlantic Record
signed Melodic Rockband HERICANE ALICE who released a
good LP back in the late 80s. After that band, he went solo and released 7 studio-albums. Besides, he has worked with members of bands like worked with former members of LeMans, Cacophony, Y&T, & Head East. This all makes it very interesting for me to hear and review all his solo-albums and maybe even do an interview with Leni, because someone so talented needs to get attention and I am willing to give that to him soon. On his solo-albums he got help of former DARE FORCE member Brian Bart. Hopefully I can hear all the solo-material of LENI DIMANCARI soon, so you all can get to know this guitarist. |
| WILDEST DREAM |
| LOS ANGELES - An alliance
today between various musicians in Los Angeles and
Germany formed the melodic hard rock band “Wildest
Dream”. Vince V., guitarist/songwriter, and
famed hard rock vocalist Carsten Schulz (ex. Mr. Hate,
Forever) united to create Wildest Dream, the new band
which hopes to further globalise melodic hard rock and
make a strong push toward bringing this music back into
the spotlight. Joining their efforts are guest musicians
Richie Rivera (ex. Rain Cheque) on drums, and Leon Pinto
(Dolce Forte) on bass. The band is currently in the studio working on their first batch of songs which is scheduled for a release date sometime in the middle of this year. Wildest Dream has taken its influences and added its own touch of creativity and passion, creating a sound that has been compared to Harem Scarem’s self-titled debut, Frontline, and Dokken (early years). However, the band claims a sound very much their own, and with the union of musicians in different counties hopes to inject a fresh new sound and vision into its songwriting. |

This CLOCKWORK is also very interesting, because they play melodic rock 80s styled. They have already put out 4 CDs and hopefully I can hear and review them all very soon, because this band may be the new sensation. |

Interesting detail is the fact that Radar is a five-member band featuring lead vocalist Pamela Moore. You may know Pam from her work as "Sister Mary" on Queensryche's "Operation: Mindcrime" album.
