A mono-print of Angelina Jolie. It was my first attempt at a free-hand print.
A pencil drawing of Robert Smith. This was part of my series of *stars* that I did for a portfolio. This, and the next two pieces were all 24 by 18.
Parker Posey being all hot.
Courtney Love
A piece from a larger project, entitled "home". This one is "red car" and is my friends Jenn and Rich just chillen in front of my house, in front of Rich's broken down car. Symbolic of North Syracuse, right?
This is a close up of a intaglio print I did my senior year.
Woodblock print. "Lolly Pop Angel" I think she's cute and kooky.
This piece is "Rockets" and it's one of my favorites. It's mixed media...paint, a print, ink, velum paper, glass, and candle wax all mounted on a piece of plywood. It's a pretty personal piece.
This piece is entitled "A Door". It's made from an old cupboard door from my uncle's house. I collaged a square of newspaper clippings of sexual abuse and assult and then painted the virgin Mary over it. The other side has a black and white Mary painted on it, surrounded by fake flowers. A rosary hangs from the doorknob. It shows how woman are thought of vs how they really are and how women are treated vs how society pretends to treat them. All interwoven with my sick obsession with religion and religious icons. This piece is my other favorite.
This is a Natalie Bat comic from the February 1999, "Accidents Happen, but they probably deserved it" issue of me and Nora's zine, Scrambled Eggs. ::sigh:: I miss Nora and our shared sick sick sense of humor.
