Wellington Capital City of New Zealand Wellington is the worlds most southern capital, it is situated on the southern end of the
north island, much of the city is built on reclaimed land from an almost landlocked bay
“Port Nicholson” one of the worlds finest harbours, the harbours access to cook strait
allows shipping to and from the Tasman sea to the west and the Pacific ocean to the east
in 1865 the seat of government was transfered to Wellington from Auckland
Wellington is the largest of four cities in the region. A culturally diverse and vital city,
there are significant numbers of Maori, Chinese, Indians and Samoans, as well as many
well-represented European and Southeast
