Who am I? I'm glad you asked!
"Mr. Magic" was a name bestowed on me some years ago by a primary school teacher when she was given the job of introducing me to a school assembly. The name may not be particularly original but, for better or worse, the students took to the name and "Mr. Magic" started to receive many similar invitations from other schools. The stage name has stuck ever since.
However, the two friends that I have, call me Gary. I am a magician, based in Sydney, Australia and have been married to my wife Jeanette for 30 years (how lucky can one woman get!). Jeanette and I have been blessed with the two best looking daughters in all of Sydney (well, they think so, anyway!), as well as Wally the Wonder Wabbit, who always tries to steal the limelight during my magic shows.
I have been a mug for magic since reading my first book on levitation - I couldn't put it down!
I have been a professional magician for many years and perform for a wide range of corporate, community, school and private clients each year. Some of my corporate customers have included McDonalds Family Restaurants, Run-A-Muk Indoor Play and Adventure Centre, Stockland Mall, St. Ives Shopping Village, AMF Ten Pin Bowling Centres, Foseco Pty, Ltd, Cititgroup Banking Corporation, Pennant Hills Golf Club, Amcor, Boots Health Care, Camden City Library and Cafe Coonara.
I also receive many invitations each year to present gospel magic programs to a wide range of Churches and schools. Since commencing these programs, I have had the privilege of sharing the gospel with several thousand people each year.
My aims in magic are simple and twofold.
Firstly, I want to present quality, clean, fun-filled magic programs that the whole family can enjoy.
Secondly, but most importantly, I want to present the gospel, when invited to do so, in an entertaining, but meaningful manner. I have discovered that the art of magic is a wonderful means of illustrating the relevance of the Christian faith to the modern world.
I regularly travel throughout Australia and am available to perform throughout the country. If you would like to obtain more information about my availability to perform in your local area, I would welcome your inquiry via my email address.
In closing, let me give you two pieces of gratuitous advice:
1. Always remember you are unique - just like everyone else!
2. Always give 100% at work - 20% on Mondays, 25% on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and 5% on Fridays!
If you want to ask me for more details of my programs, or if you simply want to say hi, please drop me a note.
