[B. says:]

I think that MIM, like most Westerners (esp whites) read Reich incorrectly. Did MIM notice, for instance, that Reich pointed out how people who DON'T get good orgasms become obsessed with sex---in "Listen, Little Man!", he criticizes society's monomaniacal obsession with sex (MENTAL).

The problem here is that psychologists are apt to think they have accomplished something by describing its motivations. In contrast, we at MIM STILL think Reich is making sex central to his theory. We believe sex is an imperialist country preoccupation, because food, clothing and shelter are not, thanks to superexploitation of the Third World.

Hence, writers like this one talk about the "need" to have sex. The cause of behavior is seen as sexual and that is what we mean by making sex central to the theory. Whether it is good orgasms or bad ones, it is still sex dominating the theory.
