Michelle won her 9th National Championship at the 2005 US National Championships in Portland, Oregon January 15, 2005. This is Michelle's 8th National Championship Gold she has won in a row!

With this win, Michelle has tied with Maribel Vincent Owens who won 9 National Championships in the 1920's - 30's.

Michelle also received more 6.0's for presentation in both the short and long programs, bringing her record total to 42 during US Nationals. Congrat's Michelle, you deserve everyone of your gold medals

Tosca - 2003 - 2004

Michelle won her ninth straight World Championship Medal Saturday, 3-27-04. She now has a complete set of 5 Gold, 3 Silver and this year winning the Bronze. Check my 2004 Worlds Page below for more info

Michelle made figure skating history on January 10, 2004 by winning her 11th consecutive medal at the USA Champsionships. She won her 8th Gold Medal, the 7th in a row! Check out

Michelle Kwan's competitive record rivals that of any other female figure skater. Since 1992 Michelle has competed in many competitions. She has won 61 Gold Medals out of 92 competitions.

Michelle has won more Gold medals than any other figure skater in the world. She has received 35 6.0's (perfect marks) at US Figure Skating Championships for artistry. This record was previously held by 1988 USA Olympic Gold Medalist Brian Boitano who obtained six 6.0's for his artistry. This isn't even counting all the other competitions (Worlds, Grand Prix's, Campbells, Pro-Ams) where she has won more 6.0's. Michelle is Magestic, Artistic, Graceful, Talented, Sincere, Friendly, Family oriented and Golden inside and out.
