INTRODUCTION
The site A World in Trouble ranks all the independent countries according to
the perception of the risk of a coup or a conflict.
This site doesn't consider if a country is democratic or not does it consider any economic
situation,just the risk of overthrowing the chief of the state or entering into a conflict
such as civil war,guerrilla action or war with other country.
The site considers a risk within the immediate future, for example 2-3 years.
In some countries there is a current risk of a coup or an outbreak of a conflict.
In others there are particular situations which can lead toward this situation
in the near future.
Since it is not realistic to make a forecast of a very long term situation, I think
it is logical and appropriate to consider a short period of 2-3 years.

- Pakistan: There are new rumors of a possible military takeover of the country.
- Syria: The huge defections in the army could cause a war and a coup in the medium term.
- Egypt: The retirement of president Mubarak and the increasing calls
for democracy are posing a risk of a turbolent transition.
- Tajikistan: There are fears a new guerrilla group is arming and getting ready to start a new conflict.
- Mauritania: The risk of terrorism is increasing with more reports of
active Al Qaeda cells in the country.
