CHICO DE BARGE ~ LONG TIME, NO SEE on Kedar Entertainment

Attention all ballers, shot callers, pimps and old school players --
This CD is guaranteed to increase your game by 100%.
Chico shines on his debut, especially on the remake of Marvin Gaye's "Trouble Man."
Definitely worth buying. Get it. Got it? I'm gone.

PLAYA ~ CHEERS 2 U

Featuring Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliot, Magoo, Foxy Brown and Aaliyah.
Produced by Timbaland. These 3 young brothas can sang .
A mix of old school Jodeci and new school Blackstreet, but with a unique
flavor. Definitely worth buying. Get the CD!!

VARIOUS ARTISTS ~ PLAYERS CLUB SOUNDTRACK

Featuring Ice Cube, Mack 10, Master P(ya heard me?), and a slew of hip-hop,
rap and R&B artists, this CD fails to live up to it's hype. Though
representative of some of the hottest acts on the scene today,
the mediocre writing and production are enough to make you wish the
Wherehouse still bought back used CD's. A must hear track on
the CD is Master P and Ice Cube's remake of the 1980-something hit
"You Know I'ma Ho." It's "something special," if only for comic relief.
If you didn't know the meaning of "ghetto-fabulous," you will after
listening to this CD a few times. And though you'll never want
to hear the words "bout it, bout it", "baby daddy/momma"
or "hoes and bee-ya-ches" again, if you make it through the entire album,
you'll have earned a Ph.D in Ebonics.

VARIOUS ARTISTS ~ HAV PLENTY SOUNDTRACK
GRADE: B+

Features Chico DeBarge, Coko and SWV, Jon B, Faith, Blackstreet, Erykah Badu,
and more. The soundtrack is a definite winner with it's smooth blend of
R & B and hip hop flavored joints. The soundtrack also includes the summer
jam, "Whatcha Gonna Do" by Jayo Felony f/Method Man and DMX.
Pick it up, pick it up.

MYA ~ MYA
GRADE: B+

Mya shines on her debut album, MYA. Hot tracks include the newest single,
Movin' On, whose video version features No Limit Soldier
Silkk the Shocker. The 12-track album also
features Missy Elliot and Sisqo. Mya's vocal range is pretty
impressive, so if you have some ends to spend, pick up MYA's CD.
FYI-Ghetto Superstar is not featured on her album. It's on the Bulworth Soundtrack.

BRANDY ~ NEVER SAY NEVER
GRADE: A

Brandy's follow up to her 4 million selling debut album is an impressive comeback.
Produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and his camp of talented producers, the CD has
some definite gems including the newest single, "Top of the World,"
featuring MA$E. Other hits include Angel in Disguise, Happy, and
Learn the Hard Way.
Overall, Brandy's NEVER SAY NEVER is an enjoyable CD.
Get it while it's hot!

MAISHA'S MOVIE MADNESS: TO SEE OR NOT TO SEE

Past Reviews:

Whatever you do, don't go see RIDE! Though a lot of well known faces will keep you awake - including Fredro
"Slam!" Starr (from Onyx, Moesha, Sunset Park), Kellie "not tryin' to get with
Urkel" Williams from Family Matters and Malik "ever heard of
chap stick?" Yoba, the storyline sucks like a girl in a Luke's Peep Show Video
(or should I say, Monica Lewinsky). Don't spend your dividends on this one.
