Thanksgiving Day Game
I wrote the things I'm thankful for today
the joyful pages filled were three
then one by one I had to take away
leaving just five words to see
It was a game that we had found
and played Thanksgiving day
to subtract from the thankful mound
was harder than I could say
Some things were easy to delete
the frosting on the cake
the things that make my life complete
were much harder by far to take
I ended up homeless, nothing to wear
no money ,no food, nor water
I even lost my life, I didn't even care
for I had my husband, sons, and daughter
My love for eternal friends and family
my knowledge and understanding too
My Lord, my father my testimony
these are most lmportant to pursue
My Lord, is first and most important
then eternal friends, and family
My knowledge and testimony constant
These will bring me joy throughout eternity
