PLAY CLAY

In saucepan, stir together:
2 cups baking soda
1 cup cornstarch
Add:

1 1/4 cups of water

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is consistency of moist mashed potatoes. Turn out on a plate and cover with damp cloth until cool enough to handle. Roll to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut shapes with cookie cutters, Press hole near top of each ornament with toothpick. Allow ornaments to dry on flat surface and harden overnight. Paint, decorate and protect with a shiny glaze.

Make Christmas Card Ornaments.

1. Save your Christmas cards each year and cut the pictures into various shapes that best suit the pictures.. (circles, ornament shapes, squares, etc.

2. Get old dried or silk flowers,pearls,glitter, irridescent glitter, bows and ribbons, peat moss, etc. and decorate them up beautiful. 3.Then get plastic lids to (cottage cheese containers, etc.) and glue the pic onto that fill in with moss, flowers, pearls or glitter etc. use a hole punch to make a hole in the top and put a thin satan ribbon or twin, to hang from through the hole. Voila, a beautiful elegant ornament!

Angel Ornaments.

1.Get corn husk ribbon, shiney or dull and about 5 inches or less width.
2.Fold it three times to the size that you want it.
3.Use hemp twine or rough looking twine or straw like material, or ribbon to tie.
4.Use a small styrofoam ball for a head. Place the styrofoam ball inside the folded corn husking. Use glue gun to secure insid corn husking. Tie the corn husking around the styrofoam and attach corn husk wings.
5. Corn husk wings: Just cut a piece of the corn husking and use wire to tie the middle. The ends will fan out and look like wings. Glue gun them to the back. You can use small silk flowers to add to the beauty. You can get creative and use moss and straw by the ribbon for added effect.
6. you can glue art pearls around the head for a halo or use your imagination with a creative halo.

and frosting use candies to complete. Just put grahams candies and frosting in tubes out on the table, and watch the fun begin as creative minds make their own Christmas cottages. You can also make candy bar trains by using candy bars, tootsie rolls and grahams and life saver wheels. using the frosting as glue. Make sure you get a real stiff frosting recipe.
