D&C Lesson for Family Home Evening

1. Have family line up outside the door:

The time

This is the time to go and organize the blocks in the family room.

But you must do it completely in darkness. You must promise to keep your eyes closed the whole time.

The Place

This is the place. Our family room. The way the blocks are set up is very important to me! You must set them up to look like a church.

The Man

(choose someone outside to be the chosen one.) I will choose one I can trust to go and help you set up. Listen to him and you will be ok.

(When family is inside the living room groping in the dark and trying to put the blocks together, have the one you chose say, "Father will you help me?" Then have Father give him the power to open his eyes and find the light and then help the other family members to open there eyes and find the light so they can set the blocks up to look like a church.

(Joseph Smith) (tell family that that is how Heavenly Father called Joseph to be the prophet and organize his church on the earth in the latter days. (ask what did Joseph have to do first?) (Ask for help)
