Elizabeth Packer (nee Sharp) Elizabeth was the widow of Sgt. William Sharp who died before 1635(?). William Baugh was her 3rd husband after Sharp and Thomas Packer. William Sharp arrived in Virginia at age 40 aboard the Starr in May 1611. Elizabeth followed at age 25 on the Bonaventure in August 1620. The 1624/25 census lists Sgt. Sharp with wife Elizabeth and sons Isaac, aged 2 years, and Samuel, aged 2 months, as living in Charles City. Sharp's servant Richard Vause, age 20, came in May 1620 on the Jonathan. Elizabeth died ~1650. She was the mother of John, Thomas and Mary.

William & William, Sr. William, Sr. was an emigrant to Virginia, arriving about 1638. In the copious documentation and discussion of the life and times of this emigrant there seems to be the consistent assumption that he is the elder William of his line. It is only speculation, but this may be because researchers of colonial affairs did not trace William, Sr. back to his father. The father was deceased by the time that William, Sr. emigrated to Virgina so it seems reasonable (but still open to correction) that the elder William never made it to Virginia and that the son then is the "Gentleman Justice of Henrico" referred to as William, Sr. or William, I

Margaret Will dated 15 May 1589; prob. at Gloucester 26 Sept. 1589 names son Rowland and his wife Mary and their eldest son Edward as well as Mary and Alice his daughters; Helenor, daughter of son Robert (deceased); sister Dingley; son Thomas Baugh; son-in-law Raffe Persons.
Rowland, Thomas Rowland is the only child of Edward Baugh listed in "The Visitation of Gloucestershire, 1623" but both Thomas and Rowland are listed in "The Visitation of Worcestershire, 1634". Information from the will of Edward Baugh (as footnoted in this Visitation) names two more sons and a daughter; Robert, William and Anne. Raffe Persons, John Stevens "The Visitation of Gloucestershire, 1623" footnotes information from the will of Edward Baugh that lists other descendants by both blood and marriage. Robert Robert preceded his mother in death according to information in her will which named Helenor, daughter of her own son Robert (dec'd).

Baugh of Pensham
Baugh Brothers Edward and Robert are the earliest Baughs recorded in "The Visitation of Worcestershire, 1634". Robert was not listed in "The Visitation of Gloucestershire, 1623".

Joseph Baugh is listed in the 1810 census of Madison County, Ky. The listing shows two males between 10 and 16 years of age, and two over 45. The identity of the 2nd adult male in this household is unknown at this time. The young males are William G. and Benjamin. The list also shows four females under age 10 (Elsey, Nancy, Mary and Martha - Lucinda not yet born), one between 10 and 16 (Judith) and one between 26 and 45 (wife Nancy who was apparently quite a bit younger than Joseph. The same census also lists Joseph's brothers(?) William and Alexander. Later censuses (1820 and 1830) list William and William A. (son of William). Joseph has moved to Missouri by this time.
