My birthday is Nov 17th...hint, hint.
I am told I am difficult to shop for, which I don't understand since there are a ton of things I know I want. So here is a list of items I would like to have:
1. KitchenAid Stand Mixer
2. Framing Gift Certificates--I have several items I would like to have professionally framed (my college diploma, some enlargements of photos I have taken, posters I have bought, etc.), but framing is quite expensive. I would love a gift certificate for Corners Framing, Michael's, Prints Plus, or any other framing place!
5. Spa Wish Gift Certificate--these can be used at a number of salons and spas across the US. I would love to get a gift certificate so I can treat myself to a manicure, massage or new haircut.
7. Children's books to add to my collection. Some missing books/series include: Curious George, Madeline, Babar, Paddington Bear, The Trumpet of the Swan, The Mouse and the Motorcycle, Richard Scarry's Best Storybook Ever, Mother Goose, Beatrix Potter Collection, The Missing Piece Series, Math Curse, Little House on the Prairie Series, and anything by Dr. Seuss!
8. McDonald's, Burger King, and Other Gift Certificates--the "other" gift certificates link takes you to giftcertificates.com where you can buy GC for many stores, restaurants, movie theatres, etc.
9. Puzzles--1000 pieces or more are best. I don't like the "realistic" ones so much, I prefer cool arty puzzles (like the vintage travel poster ones or cow parade ones). Graphic designs or cartoony pictures over realistic any day.
10. Victoria's Secret Pear Glace Bath Products--this is my very favorite scent/product, but I like anything fruity: apple, pear, peach, raspberry, etc.
11. Great Bottles of Wine--I am trying to find great bottles of reasonably priced wines. If you know of any, send some my way!
12. Scalextric cars from the 1960s. These you can find on E-bay. I will try to post a photo of the type of car I like.
13. Other DVDs I would like (always WIDESCREEN if available):
The Simpsons Season V
Long Way Round (released in Britain Dec 6!)
Curb Your Enthusiasum
Arrested Development
Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King (Extended, wide-screen version)
Forrest Gump
Top Gun
Resevoir Dogs
Roxanne
It's a Wonderful Life
Psycho (the Hitchcock version)
Vertigo
Citizen Kane
Casablanca
The Shining
Much Ado About Nothing
Fight Club
Snatch
Sex and the City - seasons 1,6
M*A*S*H
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
14. COOKBOOKS! I would love anything basic, healthy, ethnic, desserts, smoothies, just about anything! Even just a bunch of yummy recipes transcribed on notecards. Anything new!
15. Stationary
I always can use blank cards or stationary. I love to send hand-written, personal notes. Again, I love cool art, international themes--you know how I love to travel :) Or cool vintage things--cars, clothes, VOGUE covers, children's literary characters, etc.
16. Stamps!
As much as I love to send out cards and letters I always need stamps. There are so many neat ones available now at the Post Office, why not something fun?
