On Friday afternoon/evening we drove from New Delhi to Jaipur. We got to the hotel in the evening, dropped off our bags and headed to Pizza Hut for a late dinner--it's funny, I can't get Pizza Hut in Boston, I had to fly halfway around the world to get it.
The next morning we headed out in the car and our first stop was Amber Fort, in Amber, just outside Jaipur. Amber Fort and the surrounding Jaigarh Fort are both situated in the hills. Many of these photos are of parts of the forts or other palaces, buildings, et cetera, built in and on the hills, which are surrounded by desert.
