Weintraub, Head of Stephen and Kucy Chang Science Library @ Rutgers University, 1997
Irvin Weintrab, Fighting Environmental Racism: A Selected Annotated Bibliography online, internet, URL: http://www.cruzio.com/~mouser/ejigic.html, July 2, 1997
Citizens who are tired of being subjected to the dangers of pollution in their communities have been confronting the power structures through organized protest, legal actions, marches, civil disobediance, and other activities. Community newsletters, pamphlets, magazines, classes, lectures, and videocassettes have made it possible to recruit large numbers of people.
B. Link- All government action is racist without explicit inclustion of those affected.
Theodore & Theodore, President of the Theodore Tutorials, Prof. Chemical Engineering @ Manhattan College, 1996
While many question the validity of intentionally racist policy, it is difficult to deny that the environmental movement has not been affected by the social, political, and economic structure in the United States, which was racist when created. if vestiges of racism exist within that order, then truly "racebling" plicy would seem impossible.
C. Impact- Scourage of Racism
Eastgate, International President for Citizens Commission on Human Rights, 1996
So called ethnic cultures are under a terrible assault these days. We see it in modern industrial nations such as the United States, Germany, Australia, and New Zeland, as well as in less developed countries from Bosnia to Rwanda. The assaults are caused by a scourage which knows no boundaries and tolerates no diversity. The name of the scourage is racism.
