During a recent rivalry between Ric Flair and Eric Bishoff (back in the late 1990s), Flair repeatedly advocated that the current success of professional wrestling could be attributed to the professional wrestlers of yester-year. In numerous interviews, Flair even went so far as to mention many previous wrestling stars who thrived in the 1980s, now seemingly forgotten in the wake of today's wrestling media blitz. He has referred to some of the old-school greats, such as Chief Wahoo McDaniel, Arn Anderson, Ricky Steamboat, Dick Murdoch, and Dusty Rhodes, as well as wrestlers who began their careers during the 1980s, still performing for us today, like Sting and Lex Luger.
Presently, I am still a wrestling fan. However, I grew up watching the period of wrestling that Ric Flair so often spoke of, and I long for those days of old. I figured since the Nature Boy brought back such important memories, maybe I could share my collection of memories with today's wrestling fans and fans like me from the 1980s. Therefore, I am offering to put my compilation of professional wrestling tapes up for sale.
Between 1985 and 1990, I recorded over 40 tapes worth of headline matches from the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), the Universal Wrestling Federation (UWF), World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW), and scattered matches from some other federations. Below is information on how I have documented matches and provided information on each tape for interested customers.
Tape Quality:
Virtually all matches on every tape have excellent picture quality.
A few matches do not have sound, but that will be
noted next to each match that is lacking in this area.
Match Conditions:
JIP = "joined in progress"; A fair number of the
matches I taped were joined in progress. In fairness
to you, the customer, I note this next to all matches
that are not shown in their entirety. Furthermore, all
matches joined in progress have an approximate time
length next to them. Here is an example:
Barry Windham vs. "The Living Legend" Larry
Zybsco--draw; JIP, last 10 min. of a great match
Some matches are as short as 2 minutes, while others
can go up to 15 minutes.
"No decision" Some of the matches I taped also say "no decision" at the end. This means that while I was recording the match, the program went off the air, and us viewers did not get to know the final outcome of the match. Like matches JIP, I list the approximate length of time for each of these matches.
All other matches are shown in their entirety. Sorry, I do not list the length of time for every match on every tape; that would just take too long.
The winners of each match have their names bolded, and if a match is won by disqualification or countout, I indicate this. I also mention if there are special stipulations to matches (i.e. if it is a bunkhouse match, or steel cage match), as well as if something significant occurs, such as a heel or face turn, or title change.

Finally, I would like to state that I have purchased wrestling tapes from other vendors via the internet, and I would never re-sell any of their merchandise. I hope you will grant me that same consideration. I am also willing to trade, so email if you're interested and we can work something out. With that, on to the tapes. Hope you find something you like! Be sure to check out my "Best of" compliatoin tapes...there's some pretty good stuff on them!
