What is ADeeperMeaning about?

ADeeperMeaning is the alternative Savage Garden mailing list, where we discuss the topic of and write specs about Darren and Daniel's sexuality (not necessarily together). It's a safe refuge for those who want to talk and dream about it without fear of being ostracized or kicked off.

How do I subscribe?

Surf to Egroups to do exactly that. It is a restricted list, for the protection of the current subscribers, so you will need my approval beforehand. After you have put in your request, please e-mail me at dazzababe@aol.com (or I will contact you) and tell me a little about yourself: your gender, age, location, what you think about Savage Garden and anything else you wish to tell me. If you are accepted, I will write you a note along with the standard Egroups e-mail.

Are the members of ADM Savage Garden fans, or is this an anti-Savage Garden list?

We're diehard fans! We also from time to time discuss more "ordinary" topics such as favorite song, video, upcoming media appearances, etc. Most of us have been to at least one concert, and some have even been lucky as to have met them. Everyone here loves Savage Garden for various reasons, many the same as other fans on the net. We know the music comes first, before anything else.

How many of you are on the list, and how old are you?

At last count, ADM had just hit the 180 mark--and on average has two new subscribers a week. The great majority of the members are female, but even if you're male, we'll make you feel comfortable (we do have a few of those here...in cages. Just kidding :) ). As for our ages, most are between 16 and 22, but many are in their twenties, thirties, even forties.

Are there any sites with more info I can check out before attempting to subscribe?

What brought on the thought of Darren and Daniel being together like that anyway?

Well, we all know of the tight friendship they share. That alone doesn't raise eyebrows, but a good number of us have noticed that they are a bit closer than male friendships usually show--photos (not posed) where they're looking at each other a bit more intimately than a platonic level. Then there are the looks we've seen them exchange in live concerts--looks we think signify secrecy.

So ADM is full of people who think Darren and Daniel are a gay couple?

Not necessarily. Some of us do believe exactly that; others think they've been together in the past but aren't now, still others don't believe they have been at all, but enjoy fantasizing about the idea. Watching the chemistry between them fuels up our "what if" scenarios.

Isn't this considered invading their privacy?

Since ADM is a private mailing list (as opposed to a public BBS or chatroom)and one that is restricted at that, we really don't think so. Also it's important to point out (and I do remind the list from time to time) that everything we discuss is theoretical--that is, nothing is taken as truth unless it comes from the mouth of Darren and/or Daniel themselves. Everything that comes from our imaginations is treated as such. We don't start and spread outright rumours to the general Savage Garden public. None of us would ever be crass as to ask Darren and/or Daniel in person such private questions. Rather, ADM is our little place to talk about the innuendos and such that we catch.

Why would you be so obsessed with their sexuality anyway?

We're not...at least I'd like to think we're not! We're just passing around ideas and generally being our crazy selves--the misfits of the Savage Garden community. Hardly a case for Mulder and Scully. We try to keep the tone light and humourous--how seriously can you take the idea of sexuality anyway? Besides, Darren himself has said we can think of him however we want...
