Art Gallery

"Welcome to my art gallery. On this page I have displayed a few of my drawings and sketches. Most are pencil on paper, a few are inked or colored. Please feel free to write to me at my e-mail address if you would like to use one of these images on your website. Thank you."

"Guardian of the Gate"- This is a piece of mine, done on 2-ply Bristol board. The woman is guarding over the towering arch behind her. Still in the works, this picture is still due to be inked and colored to create the final product.

"The Bard"- This piece was recently done as a character sketch for my story, based upon the idea of the Three. He is one of the lead characters, and acts as a warrior in present times.

"Krysta, the vampiress"- A preliminary sketch of the main villain from 'The Last Eclipse'. A vampire (though not gruesome in appearance), she is cunning, vicious and incredibly strong.

"Shadow Reaper"- This is one of the first comic book characters I ever created, and also one of the oldest pieces in my collection. A strong and powerful figure, Shadow Reaper acts as a strong leader and a troubled man. This drawing was done almost four years ago, and still remains one of my favorites.

"Altar"- A sketch of an altar growing from a twisted tree.

"Chaos demon"- Chaos demon is a mixed medium drawing, using pencil and colored pencils. It is a creature designed by myself and fellow artist, Keith Sowulewski, for use in an ongoing project.

"Christine, Cleric of Malos"- Christine is the first female character I made. This is a more updated sketch of her. She acts as a modern day incarnation of an ancient band of clerics, and as so, she is a fierce warrior and is constant in the fight against evil.

"The Healer"- The Healer is one of the Three. Here is a drawing of the Healer's current incarnation. Also works with the Bard.

"Untitled"- A picture sketched out at a coffee shop while conferring with my fellow artist Krista.

"Keith 1"- A picture done by a friend of mine. Keith was a teacher to me, and taught me a great deal about art. The sketch is of a female comic character of his named Jess. This is one of the few sketches I have of his, and I'm proud to display it on this gallery.

"Keith 2"- Another sketch of Keith's. This picture was drawn by Keith, and then colored later by myself. The only thing missing is the boulder the character was originally holding up.

"Keith 3: The Hunter"- While not an actual sketch of Keith's, this rough drawing is inspired by him. While coming up with ideas for a new comic, I took inspiration from my friends. One of the concepts was of a bounty hunter, armed with mystical armor and sword. The drawing is based my longtime friend Keith.

"Clocktower"- This character has never been actually used in a comic of mine, but it was still fun to design. He's a complete religous zealot, yet relies on the use of his armor and technology to enforce his will. Not much in common with my other drawings, but cool nonetheless.

"The Familiar"- A familiar, in classic myth, was a creature who performed deeds for its master, usually a wizard of some kind. The creature and wizard were joined in a way, with both being aware of each other. This drawing is a twist on the concept, using a mechanical dragon instead of a real animal.

"Danielle and her 'Shadow'"- Yet another sketch based on someone I know, this picture was done just for fun based on a person I worked with. She was fiesty and had a twinkle of mischief in her eye, and I drew that as a shadowy creature, lurking in her shadow, or perhaps IS her shadow.

"Talisman, Cleric of Malos"- Talisman is a cleric of Malos. SHe exists in a time period during the medieval times. She is Christine's ancestor, and one of the greatest fighters of her time. Her greatest triumph was the bonding of a powerful vampiric mage to her sword, Lightsbane.

"The Oracle"- Finally, one of my personal favorites. Although this sketch did not take long to draw, the detail is still enough to evoke an image. The woman has no face, to define the fact that she has an ability beyond normal people. Even without a face, you can sense that she is 'looking' at something intently.
