Wow. I've become spoiled by high speed internet access at work! I rarely get on my computer at home these days, so when I do, it's nearly painful. Especially when someone sends me 5 or so digital pictures in full ready-to-print resolution. Erg.

Rowan has returned to school as a first grader. She seems to be enjoying it (and much more of what she comes home talking about involves her friends - I guess we're really entering a new stage here!). It's so hard sometimes, especially that first day, to not be outside waiting for the bus to arrive in the afternoon. At lesat I get to put her on in th emorning. And nextyear I know to takethe first day of schooloff, that's for sure! (I wouldhave this year, but mysupervisor took half of this week and next week off, so I really couldn't.)

Speaking of, everything I do at work keeps changing. They keep reworking who's doing what where (we have two offices that share the same case load, one here in Worcester, one in Springfield, MA, about an hour from us - coordinating between the two is difficult, naturally, so they're trying to perfect it). It's not too bad since I do catch on pretty quickly most of the time, but it's strange to see that in 4 months since I started, my duties have changed almost completely. I guess the good thing is they're giving me MORE to do.

They asked me to go tofull time. I'm not ready for that, but I will be working 30 hours a week shortly. I'm getting better at getting stuff done outside of working hours but the house sure has taken a beating (and anyone who knows how bad it strted out are no doubt shuddering at the thought).

This summer went by in the blink of an eye, that's for certain. We went to a water park last weekend, and I'm still sporting a burnt nose as a result (it's all peeling and totally UNappealing, let's just say). It had three little kid play areas with really shallow water, a few water slides, and some pools/floating places. Gary and I had a grand time sitting in big lawn chairs near the kids' area and watching Rowan playher heart out. Ahhh, summer. It's very odd, though, driving up, I was sure we were in the wrong place as my directions had about 2/10 of a mile left before the water park, and we're passing Wal*Mart and Burger King... its' this water park right off a major roadway among the stores - at the top of one water slide, you could probably jump to the roof of the Staples next door. I have to admit, when I saw this, I was pretty concerned about how much of a water park one could build in the middle of such a location, but they did a really good job of it. For the most part, it was hard to remember how close to a retail strip we were.

Ah, well, time to scurry. I'm trying to answer about 6 months of waiting emails at this point. Arg. Pardon the typos, apparently the keyboard has taken a beating while I've been gone as well. The space bar either doesn't work or overworks half the time.
