| Many people think that hackers are all bad. Just a geek with a vengeance. Well, that's not entirely true. We may be geeks but whitehat hackers aren't out to steal or destroy. The hackers you've heard about are called black-hats. They are the ones who are giving the hacker name a bad reputation. (Detailed explanations can be found on the Mission and Ethics page.) OSW is out to contribute to the whitehat way of life, and to educate people about hackers. |
OSW is the product of the hard work of two individuals, pisto and KW. It is entirely hand-coded in HTML, exceptions to that are well-marked (Give credit where credit is due). I (pisto) do nearly all of the work on the site (I don't claim to be an HTML genius), while KW gives some input now and then. This site has been created completely free of charge to it's owners. Because of that you will see many pop-up ads. We strongly recommend using a pop-up killer or other ad-blocking program. You can download Pop-up Stopper here (Right-click and Save Target as).
