If you are currently running a higher version than 1.16 you may download an older client. More easily done is a fresh install of Quake 3 Arena. Dreamcast Map Pack: Download the Dreamcast map pack(49.5MB) and unpack the map files into the "baseq3" directory.* Example: C:\Program Files\Quake III Arena\baseq3\ Settings: In order for PC players to successfully join a game after installing one of the supported clients and Dreamcast map pack, you must also ensure that you do not have any third party mods enabled. Neither of these Dreamcast servers have the supported mods enabled either, in the future such servers may be set up with full mod support. Connecting: Since there is not a way to echo the Quake 3 Arena master server list for Dreamcast games to a PC SUCCESSFULLY you must enter the IP manually: 64.222.244.190:27960 (Add server to favorites for easier access at a later time). *Note that the Dreamcast map files will not be viewable in game, but will load when joining a Dreamcast server game. |
