Why Computer Information Systems?
I looked at many careers to choose from, and none of them meet my needs. When my uncle got me into computer programming when I was 13, I started to like it and did more research on its career. I found out that many companies need a computer programmer and it also was in the money market. Then I did more research on getting degrees and certificates and found out that the best solution is to get a B.A. in Computer Information Systems. Almost every job I have looked it required at least a B.A. in a computer related field or a certain amount of certifications. Then after I found out what degree I wanted I started to search for schools all around the U.S. and found out that Devry University was the best school for my needs. So I started off with finding all computer classes in my High School and took all of them to make my transcript look better. Then found out that I need to get at least a B in a high level of math, so I took Algebra 2. Knowing that getting a job in Computer Information Systems is going to take a lot of hard work and working many hours I have still stuck with this career.
