Hmmm, I feel like we've now fallen into the Enchanted River. I guess, since Lugbúrz has satisfied Estel, it is his prerogative to continue with Musnud's train of thought or to do something new.
We wait with bated breath.

Bungo how about you teaching me how to word my thoughts in a way such that when you see my name on a post you will know that it's going to be most entertaining, like I do when I read yours, I almost fell right through this door when you opened it with your new one
I am sure Musnud will be back soon, but I have a nice tough question coming up after he has matched our answers with his list

Lugburz, you got everything on my list: Eagles, Thrush, Ravens, Crows, Spiders, Wolves, Bears, and Horses (Beorn's)...
As usual, Marcho pointed out some that I missed, , but since Lugburz also got Estel's answer more "precisely" than I did, I believe it's his go.

Who, in the regions surrounding Esgaroth, could claim to know the least about the men of Lake-town?

I'm trying to imagine someone making such a claim.
Hmmm, maybe... just maybe...
Nope. I'll get back to you.

Nobody "makes" this claim. The answer can be inferred from a comparison of sorts.
Let me rephrase the question: A comparison in the Hobbit indicates that the character in question can be assumed to know very little about Lake-Men, but even that knowledge is sufficient for some understanding.

Tenchi! Nice to see you back! Don't you leave this time. -------- This is a cheeky hint based on Estel's guess: A shot in the dark will be no different from one in the light. And Bilbo is also involved...

I guess we could say that it will be useless to guess. The answer is a creature pretty obscure, the only way you'll get it is if you get the comparison I'm talking off. Bilbo makes this comparison.

I shouldn't have given those clues, the answer would have been given anyways. We are in for a Blackwood style question folks. Get done with your work and pick up the book!
