Extra Curricular Activities:

Introduction:

The page is an attempt to provide a brief synopsis of the activities and competitions I have participated in or have organised.

Participation at various Competitive Events:

• Represented IIT Guwahati at the First Inter-IIT Cultural Festival held at IIT Kharagpur in December 2001 in the event - 'Eastern Music'.

• Represented IIT Guwahati as member of Dramatics Team at "Alcheringa-The IIT Guwahati Cultural Festival" during Feb. 2002 and in February 2003. Bagged 2nd prize in 2002 and 1st prize in 2003.

• Reprented the batch at Manthan-The Intra IITG Cultural Festival as the member of the Dramatics team and Eastern Music team. Our batch has bagged the coveted "Manthan Trophy" twice since October 2001.

• Am a member of IITG Hockey Team.

• Reprented BJB College,Bhubaneswar (from where I did my 10+2) in the All Orissa CHSE Meet in 1998 at Gopalpur,Orissa,India in events - 'Hindi Debate' and 'English Extempore'. Bagged 3rd prize in both and our college bagged the Championship Trophy.

• Am the 'Common Room Secretary' of Kapili Hostel , IIT Guwahati from August 2003.

Events Organised at IIT Guwahati :

I have been an active part of most of the festivals and activities being held at IITG.
The prominent ones worth mentioning are :

• In the Core Committe on Publicity of Alcheringa 2004.

• Organised the Electronic related event at Techniche 2003.

• Organised the Basketball competition at Spirit 2002.

• In the core committe of Manthan 2003

• Have helped in the oraganisation of many more events like Spic Macay at differrent levels.

Note:

• ALCHERINGA is the IIT Guwahati Cultural Festival held at a national level in first week of February each year,
• TECHNICHE is the IIT Guwahati Technical Festival held at a national level in first week of September each year.
• MANTHAN is the intra-iit guwahati cultural meet held in October each year.
• SPIRIT is the IITG Sporting Challenge held in October each year.
