Start Of The War

There is no exact start of the war but a series of events that lead to the british and french Declaring war on the Axis powers.

There are certain events which contributed to the start of the war but you have to look back as far as the end of first world war these events are...

  • The treatment of the germans after the first world war.
after the first world war germany was battered and bitter, they blame their leaders, traitors at home and especially the jews. Then England and France made germany pay reperations (costs of waging war against them) which took a Huge tole on the german economy.

  • Hitlers attraction to the german people.
Since the Germans were made to pay these reperations When The depression hit in the 1930's Germany hit 'rock bottom' and it looked like their economy would not recover for some time. So naturally when Hitler came into power and promised the german people a 'new germany' in which there would be no more unemployment and Germany's economy would be once again a major trader on the world market the German people took a liking for him. Hitler was a good leader and did wonderful things for germany he taught them to be proud and respect their country, it was a shame that his ideologys of a 'aryan' or super race and his hate for jews made him do things that were ultimitly detremental to Germany.

  • Hitlers invasion of Poland and Czechoslovakia it was on the 5th of october 1938 when germany invaded sudetenland in Czechoslovakia. Then on the 1st of september 1939 he invaded Poland (even though he promised not to). Two days later France and England Declare war on Germany and Her allies...So you could say this was the Day the war started.

  • and the Hatred towards the jews (anti-semitsm See 'The Final Solution'.
