          I was born in Ulagudayampattu, a village in Tamilnadu, India. My initial years of schooling were at Mangayarkarasi higher secondary school at Villupuram. From class VII to X, I studied at Government higher secondary school, Panruti. I was rewarded for scoring the highest mark in the public examinations held in 1991. 

           After my tenth grade, I went on to do a three year Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in Elumalai  polytechnic, Villupuram. Here too, I came out in flying colours scoring a  first Class with distinction. I would love to share some of the sweet memories of those days with you, however, having in  mind the time constraint,  let me get to the nitty-gritty of myself. 

           I stepped into city life in 1994 when I joined my Bachelor of Engineering (CSE) course in Crescent Engineering College, Chennai, India. Being a Diploma student, I joined directly in the second year. I stayed in Kilakarai Alim Buhari Hostel for three years till I finish my course. I graduated with a first class in 1997. 

         I started up my career as a software engineer trainee in 1997 at  India Comnet Intl. (P) Ltd, a software firm at Chennai, India. I started to enrich my knowledge and developed my technical skills well. I traveled to US and other countries couple of times for training, software development and business reasons. After five plus years stint at India Comnet, Chennai and Comnet Intl. Co, USA, I finally decided to changeover. Following that, I associated myself with   Ness Technologies Inc. for Four years and played various roles in the organization. Moved up the corporate ladder and got relieved as PMO-Head. Then I landed in to the Big Blue IBM Corporation in 2007 as partof the management team.  

          I have a variety of hobbies ranging from music to watching TV, reading books to housekeeping. When time permits, I do try out some new adventures. 

          I love indoor as well as outdoor sports. I play Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Ball badminton, Basketball, Kabadi, Tennis, Table Tennis, Football, Hockey, Chess and Carom. Being an athlete myself, I have a lot of interest in 100mts, 200mts, High jump, Long jump, Triple jump, Discus  throw, Javelin throw, and Relays. I have participated in almost all of events mentioned above and won a good number of prizes too. I headed the Ball badminton team in my college and won the Tamilnadu Inter Engineering Sports (TIES) title in PSG Tech, Coimbatore in 1997 and that was my acme in sports. 

          Apart from the above said, I was also interested in swimming. But I don't practice very often nowadays. 

          My interest towards martial arts cannot be described in mere words. I learned the Japanese style of self defense, karate in a Doje (school),  Gojukodai and was awarded Orange belt. My favorite weapon is 'NunChaku'. Due to my undying interest in karate, I practice almost daily. 

           I have diverse interests. So, if it is Karate at one end, it is Yoga in the other, which I believe helps me attain peace and rejuvanate my entire self. I practice asanas and pranayama occasionally. Recently added Taichi in to the list, finished even the advanced sessions and currently practicing twice a week. 

           As a gourmand, my favorites are Thai and Chinese foods. I love all sorts of Thai delicacies and also have a flair for Chinese food.
