Chapter 26

"So this will be one of the outfits I will be wearing?" I asked the seamstress, looking in the mirror at the costume I had on. I

t was the next day and the Raleigh venue was bustling with sound equipment workers, lighting technicians, and construction workers who were setting up the ring and the ramp. Amongst all of that the wrestlers worked out, and were being fitted in wardrobe. I studied myself in the mirror again. There was not much to the outfit, as I had expected, but I was okay with it. The ring attire consisted of tan cut off shorts that were ripped and disheveled looking. Then the top was brown suede and was made like a tank-top and the material came down and crisscrossed, giving it a low v-neck cut. It had sleeves that were sheer and long with a bell cuff, like a medieval outfit would. The sleeves were a cream color and had an ivy vine lining the opening where my arm came through. There wasn't much else to the top since it cut off right underneath my chest. My entire midriff was showing and on my feet were platform sandals with a cork bottom, lacing up my leg and tying all in ivy leaves. For the performances my long dark curly hair would be half up in braids that encircled the crown of my head and ivy leaves would be weaved through it. On my face A single ivy vine was painted down my face. It started coming from above my left eyebrow and wound down onto my cheek. Needless to say the makeup process would take quite awhile for each show. I came out of my trance as the seamstress held up a couple of my costumes that I would be wearing.

"Yes, here are some others I have made for you." She smiled at me.

"Wow, they are perfect." I smiled looking through the four other outfits.

"These are just for show right? When I actually wrestle, I will wear something different , right?" I asked, a little concerned that if I would wrestle in them they would be destroyed.

"Oh, yes, not to worry, Miss Maria, everything is under control. This will be what you wear to wrestle." She went through some hangers that were on a wheelie rack.

She pulled out hunter green velvet pants with a black t-shirt that had the sleeves and mid section removed. On the front it said "Miss Poison Ivy" in hunter green and gold cursive writing and on the back is read , "Watch out, Poison is deadly!"

"Oh, I love it! Thanks Carlene, you are the best!" I gave her a quick hug.

"What's all this commotion about?" Matt entered the room.

I turned to face him in my outfit.

"What do ya think?" I asked, timidly. I was dressed from head to toe, makeup and all.

"Wow, you look very sexy, you are definitely a WWF diva." He smiled at me and motioned for me to turn around so he could see the whole thing.

"You don't think I look too, too...?" I asked, not wanting to say what I was really thinking in front of Carlene the seamstress.

"No, I think you look perfect." Matt replied kissing my forehead.

"Good, so what's up? where is the rest of the crew?" I asked, as we walked back towards the dressing rooms to show Adam and Jay my outfit.

"Jeff and Amy went out to lunch together, Jeff said we could join them if we wanted, but I didn't know how long this would take." Matt explained, as we stood in front of Adam and Jay's dressing room knocking on the door.
