Chapter 40

Matt and Jeff got down to the lobby and saw everybody across the room, sitting on some couches talking and hanging out. They walked over and sat down joining the conversation. The first thing Matt had noticed was that all the girls were dressed up, wearing skirts and dresses- they all looked nice. He shrugged, then he wondered what Angela would look like - what she’d wear. He sighed.

It was around 12:40am when Matt felt Jeff elbow him. Matt still half laughing glanced at him. Jeff’s eye’s were wide and his mouth was open. Matt stared at him confused and followed his gaze.

Matt turned and looked up as he saw Lita and Angela walking off of the elevator and towards the group. Matt’s heart raced as he watched her walking, a beautiful smile on her face. Her hair was sweep up, really pretty, with some lose strands of curls falling around her face. She had her cross on, and she was wearing an off the shoulder, short black dress, with some ruffles on the bottom. The dress was really pretty on her. She was carrying a black purse and her jacket was draped over her arm. She was wearing high heeled black sandals and her toes were still red. She couldn’t have looked more incredible, Matt took a deep breath staring at her. He was falling for her more and more every time he looked at her.

Matt heard Jay whistle and Jeff laughed.

Matt stared at Angela. She smiled at him as she walked toward him. His heart raced. She was amazing. He was so crazy about her, she was perfect, he wanted to be with her so much, all the time. He took a deep breath and smiled. Angela smiled as she said hi to everyone. She looked back meeting Matt’s eye’s. Matt grinned winking at her as he reached for her hand. Jeff pulled Lita close to him and she was giggling. Angela took Matt’s hand and he pulled her closer to him. Angela stared at him smiling.

"Hi." Matt whispered softly grinning at her as she blushed and glanced down.

"Hi." Angela giggled smiling back up at him.

"Angela you look beautiful!" Matt whispered as Angela blushed again.

Angela smiled gently touching his cheeck, "Thanks. You look pretty good yourself......" Angela whispered giggling softly. Matt shrugged grinning and winked at her.

Angela smiled shaking her head. Then Matt let go of her hand and he helped her up her jacket on. Matt chuckled as she shivered. "Don’t tell me your cold already?!" Matt said laughing as Angela elbowed him.

"Actually I am, what are you going to do about that?" Angela asked smiling at him.

Matt grinned, sighing, "Well lemme think, I’m sure there must be something I can do to help you milady!" Matt grinned as Angela giggled.

Matt slide his arms around her and she rested her face close to his. His cheeck touching hers. Angela relaxed happy to be back in Matts arms. She could feel his breath on her face and on her neck, she sighed so happy to be near him again. Angela took Matt’s hands and wrapped them tighter around herself. Matt held her gently as she snuggled against him.

"So, what are the plans?" Chris asked looking up at Lita who was talking quietly to Jeff.

Matt looked at Chris who held Ruby in his arms. Lita ran her fingers through her hair as Jeff helped her with her jacket. She was wearing a short dark blue short dress, her hair down, and some high matching sandals.

Lita sighed. "Well I figured you’d have your van," She paused as Chris shook his head, "then why don’t you take the same people you took last time. I’ll go with Jeff, Matt, and Angela, okay?" Lita asked looking a little stressed as she glanced at Angela who shrugged.

Matt took a deep breath. Matt stopped paying attention to the conversation when he heard Angela’s voice.

"You okay?" Angela asked whispering softly.

Matt took a deep breath. "Yeah now I am......" Matt whispered hugging Angela tighter. Angela giggled quickly and snuggled against him.

Matt felt so happy to hold her, to have her with him. He was happy and it felt good. He sighed.

"Lets go already!" Torrie insisted taking Molly’s arm as they walked away toward the door.

"Okay lets go...!" Jeff said shrugging. Jeff turned glancing at Matt who rolled his eye’s, not wanting to have to let go of Angela. "Come on Matty, come on California girl!" Jeff said taking Lita’s hand as he smiled at Matt and Angela. Matt felt Angela shaking a little when Jeff spoke, he hugged her a little concerned.

Lita glanced at Angela and frowned, "You okay?" Lita asked quickly as Jeff pulled her toward the door.

Angela shook her head taking a deep breath as Matt let go off her and slide his arm around her.

"Jeff quit calling Angela that, maybe she doesn’t like being called that!" Lita said looking at Jeff, feeling bad about knowing that California wasn’t where Angela was really from and knowing that Angela felt bad for lying to everyone. Lita knew she was still upset about Ray and Jack and having remembered it, she didn’t want Jeff upsetting her more by calling her that.

Jeff laughed, "Angela you don’t mind me calling you that do ya? Come on its cute!" Jeff said chuckling as Angela glanced over at him. Angela shrugged.

"Jeff just stop!" Lita said sounding annoyed.

Jeff glanced at Matt rolling his eye’s. Matt shrugged.

Matt looked down at Angela who suddenly looked sick. "Hey Angela, you okay?" Matt asked as Angela looked back up at him. She sighed. Matt touched her cheeck gently. "You sure your okay?" Matt asked staring at her.

She smiled after a moment, "Yeah, I’m fine Matt, your here with me..........." Angela said softly staring at him. Matt grinned hugging her gently.

"Well okay then, good, come on lets go!" Matt said smiling at her. Angela shook her head smiling as snuggled against him.
