Chapter 11
Once Matt and Jeff were far enough away for Lita and Angela not to hear him he spoke, “Jeff, are you gonna ask Lita out?” Matt asked staring over at his friend.
“What?” Jeff asked shocked. He hadn’t expected that to be the first thing out of Matt’s mouth. He was expecting to hear about Angela.
“Well are you? You should!” Matt said shaking his head.
Jeff shrugged, “I dunno, where did that come from?” He asked as they got back to the make up area.
Matt shrugged, “I was just curious, I think you should!” Matt said looking at him.
Jeff sighed and scratched his head, “You think she’d say yes?” Jeff asked looking at Matt who was leaning against the wall.
Matt shrugged, “I think she would!” Matt said softly.
Jeff sighed as one of the makeup people came over and put some powder on his face. Matt rubbed his head, and thought of Angela. She was so cute. Matt couldn’t get her off of his mind.
Finally when Jeff was done with his makeup a technical guy came and told them that they were supposed to be on in 30 seconds. Matt said a quick prayer and sighed. He was already pumped up from seeing Angela. He heard there music hit and his adrenalin immediately kick in. He was ready to fight and prepared to kick some serious ass.

As Matt was walking breathlessly off stage with Jeff at his side he came backstage to find some of his friends waiting to cheer because he had won the European title. Matt saw Lita who was now dressed in her usual wrestling clothes, she started cheering. Jeff lead Matt over to a chair, Matt gulped down some water and smiled. He took some deep breaths as he continued listening to the people around him cheering. Matt looked up and smiled. “Thanks everybody...” Matt said gulping down some more water.
Matt looked up at all his friends and instantly his eyes were drawn to Angela, who he realized was standing next to Lita. Her smile made having to feel sore after that fight all the more worth it. Matt winked at her and watched as she glanced down blushing.
He smiled. Then he watched as she looked back up at him, her eyes glittering.
Matt sighed. He thanked everybody again, and some of his friends left.
Lita walked over and stood in front of Matt, “I knew you’d win!” Lita said excitedly grinning.
Matt smiled, “Thanks...”
Matt glanced over Lita’s shoulder as Angela appeared next to her.
“Hi.” Matt said softly smiling at her.
Angela bit the bottom of her lip gently and sighed, “Hi Matt...” She said softly as her eyes met his.
“Hey guess what!” A voice from behind them said excitedly.
They all turned to see Jay and Adam walking towards them.
“What?” Matt asked looking from Jay to Adam.
Jay smiled as he saw Angela, and then glanced back at Matt. Adam must have noticed her to because he chuckled softly obviously amused. “We were just talking to Vince, and he wanted us to tell Lita that she has a match with Stacey Keebler tonight,” Jay said as he glanced at Lita who now looked even more happy, “And we’re supposed to tell Angela that Test isn’t gonna be able to make it, he hurt himself last night in a match and won’t be back for a few weeks, he wants to talk to you about who you’d feel comfortable having a storyline with, he wants to see you!” Jay said smiling at her.
Angela looked at Lita. Lita smiled. Then Angela looked at everyone else, letting her eyes linger on Matts.
Matt prayed she be able to have a story with him!
Angela smiled, this job was gonna be better then she thought! She was gonna get to work with Matt! Naturally that’s who she was gonna tell Vince she’d be comfortable with, very comfortable!
Angela cleared her throat, “I guess I should go talk to Vince!” She said shrugging.
Lita smiled as snuggled against Jeff. “Good luck, I’ll meet you back in the locker room okay?” Lita asked staring at Angela.
“Yeah...” Angela said smiling. She glanced at Matt who was watching her.
Matt watched her walk away and then he let out a loud sigh, “I hope I get to work with her!” Matt whispered as he stood up stretching, Lita giggled. Matt was so sore and he wanted to take a shower and relax.
