Chapter 11

Jason pulled into the bar quickly and ran in. He looked around to see Adam sitting at a table. “Adam,” Jason said out of breath, “I…”

“Jay, what happened to you,” Adam asked as he looked at Jason whose clothes were still wet, his hair was all messy, and he was out of breath.

“Adam… Aly, she…she…” Jason started again, “where’s Max, I need to talk to her!”

“She didn’t get here yet,” Adam told him, “She’s been off shopping all day. Why what happened?”

“The relationship Aly was in,” Jason said as he calmed down, “he came back, he…” Jay’s voice trailed off as he looked towards the bar, and almost collapsed at what he saw. The brown haired guy who had come out of Aly’s room… Tom.

“Jay?” Adam asked, “You okay man?” Jason didn’t respond, instead he walked straight for the bar, knowing exactly what he had to do.

“Tom!” Jay called, the brown haired guy turned around curiously.

“Yeah?” he asked, standing up, “Can I help you?” he said as he stared at Jason. The response Tom got wasn’t a pleasant one; it was Jay’s fist meeting his jaw. Tom stumbled back, holding his face. “What the hell!” Tom screamed, “You ass! What the hell was that for?”

“Aly!” Jason said as he ran to the guy and started punching him. People were gathered around as the two men went at it. Punch after punch were blown, the two were rolling on the ground exchanging blows. Yelling was happening everywhere. People were trying to pull the two apart from each other. Finally Adam managed to pull Jay off and hold him back.

“Jay,” Adam yelled, “Calm down man, calm down.” Jay glared into the eyes of Tom, who was holding his face that was bruised.

“You stay away from her!” Jay screamed, “Stay the hell away from her!” Jay got out of Adam’s grips and walked towards the door.

“Don’t defend her,” he heard Tom call after him, “She’s a slut, she deserves what she gets…” his words followed Jason to the car, but were lost to him as he made his way back to the woman he loved.

Alison woke up awhile later, her head pounded as she remembered what happened. Tom, the yelling, the hitting, Jay… Alison looked around, wondering where he went, and noticed a piece of paper on her side table.

Aly, I’ll be back in a few minutes, just rest… I love you, Jay.

Alison smiled at the paper in her hand, she looked up as the door opened and Jay walked in.

“Hey, you’re up,” he said cheerfully as he walked over to the bed and sat down with her, “I brought you these,” he said handing her an Advil and a bottle of water. She took them and stared at his face, which was bruised.

“Jay?” she said worriedly, “What happened?”

Jay looked away, “how are you feeling?” he said trying to change the subject, “You look a lot better.”

“Jay, what happened?” Alison demanded, as she grabbed his face and pulled it up so his eyes stared into hers. She saw shame in his eyes.

Jason finally decided on the truth, “I went to the bar we were supposed to go to tonight to find Max, and when I got there, I saw Tom. I shouldn’t have, but I just attacked him, he fought back and it got to be a huge brawl. I just thought of you lying here and couldn’t control myself…”

“Jay,” she cried, “That was such a stupid thing for you to do, you’re a pro-wrestler, you could get in huge trouble, you could have gotten hurt…” her voice trailed off as she stared into his guilty eyes. “Thank you,” she said suddenly as she moved over to him and put her arms around him and her head on his shoulder, “Thank you baby.”

He wrapped his arms around her, he could feel her tears drip onto his shoulder, tears formed in his eyes, and he refused to wipe them away as they fell down this cheek. He knew this was what he had been looking for, the love he had searched for forever.
