Well, where to begin. My name is Michelle. I was born in Cheverly, MD and now reside in Baltimore. I am a 35 year old and reside with my fiance, William. We are owned by 5 feline furries, and 1 canine snuggly.
I work as a veterinary receptionist at the Animal Medical Center of Mt. Washington. I have been in the veterinary industry for 14 years now, with 6 of those years as a veterinary assistant.
I graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a B.A. in Environmental Science, but during that time worked as a manager for a pet shop and decided that working with animals is what I wanted to for a living.
Along with being a veterinary assistant, I also have managed a boarding kennel, constructed canine ovedience classes as well as received my certification as an Animal Nutrition Consultant through Hills Animal Nutrition.
I have owned animals my whole life, from cats and dogs to fish, birds, and exotics (lizards, snakes, spiders, etc.).
I started doing pet sitting as a favor to a client I had when I lived in Virginia. Word of mouth got around, and soon I was receiving phone calls from others who wished to allow their pets stay at home while they were out of town. I enjoyed it immensely, and it was a fun way to meet new people, make new furry frriends, and also have some additional spending money.
I decided a while back that I want to have my own business. There is an ever growing desire for pet sitting, but finding someone you trust is a difficult task. Even more difficult is finding someone that your pet trusts. My raport with animals is something that I am proud of. Gentle, friendly and loving are all fine attributes for anyone who does this kind of work-I proudly possess them all!
I hope that after visiting this site, you will feel comfortable enough to keep me in mind when you go on your next vacation, business trip or day trip.
Of course, I am just a telephone call away!
