This test was conducted on the UK roads called "The Cat and the Fiddle". The 4 test subjects were the Kawasaki ZZR-1200 (Successor to the ZX-11 aka ZZR1100), the Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird, The Suzuki GSX-1300R, and the Kawasaki ZX-12R Ninja.

After all the test riders jumped on the bikes, they concluded the Hayabusa and Ninja were in a class of their own.. the Hyperbike class, while the other two (CBR and ZZR) were merely exceptionally fast sport tourers.

On the Hayabusa, they complained about the brakes which were said to lack initial bite and stopping power. Wind protection was also a gripe on the Busa whenever your chin wasn't on the tank. The test riders also said the Busa handled well (for a big bike) but took considerably more effort to get it to turn into a corner. On the bright side, the Busa scored top marks on stability not only at high speeds but in the turns as well. The gobs of torque at the low and mid range was also pleasing. The riders did mention the busa felt cramped in comparison to the other 3.

The ZX-12R had its follies as well. The lower rpm throttle response was a bit twitchy and the rear suspension didn't like the extremely bumpy roads. The aggressive riding postion didn't go over quite so well in stop and go city conditions. On a good note, the ZX-12R had what was said to be the best brakes of the 4, along with being the best handling with the easiest turn-in rate of them all. They also found it to be the fastest of the 4.

At the end of the day, they put the ZX-12R as the overall winner of the test, with the Busa placing a respectable 2nd to the Ninja... followed by the CBR1100XX and lastly the ZZR1200.
